Decent stop and shop. Traffic at the parking lot can be messy sometimes. Not so very accessible if you take public transportation or walk to it. I had some issues with the meats before but customer service was great. Very busy on the weekends. Great time to shop is weekdays as most items are on sale.

They’re good but they can always be better… my only reason for not 5 stars is because they card me for alcohol and long lines to checkout.. I am old enough by much to purchase and when asked for ID is a bit compulsive and mediocre. Especially when you look older than the limit. Please don’t remind me of my age! Thanks!

Concern Regarding Rotisserie Chicken Availability and Customer Service. I am writing to bring to your attention a recurring issue (02/08/2025) at your Glendale location (8989 Union Turnpike, Glendale, NY 11385) that has been causing significant inconvenience to customers, including myself.
While the store opens to the public at 6:00 AM, rotisserie chickens are consistently unavailable until 3:00–4:00 PM. This is a stark departure from industry standards, as most supermarkets typically have rotisserie chickens ready by 8:00–9:00 AM. What makes this situation particularly disappointing is that this was not an issue 5–6 months ago, when your store reliably had rotisserie chickens available by 9:00–10:00 AM. The current delay not only disrupts the shopping experience but also diminishes the convenience that many of us have come to expect from your store.
Additionally, I feel compelled to mention the concerning behavior of some employees when customers inquire about the delay. On multiple occasions, I have witnessed and experienced responses that were rude and dismissive, which is both unprofessional and unacceptable. This type of customer service tarnishes the otherwise positive reputation of Stop & Shop and leaves a lasting negative impression.
I kindly urge you to address these issues promptly. Specifically, I recommend ensuring that rotisserie chickens are prepared and available earlier in the day, as they once were, and providing additional training or guidance to staff to improve their interactions with customers.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I trust that you will take the necessary steps to resolve these concerns and restore the high standards of service that your customers deserve. I look forward to seeing improvements during my future visits.

It's gone downhill.
Half the time the produce looks rotten or is understocked. The other half of the time there's no meat. What the hell is going on? About two months ago there was an obvious corporate visit because the produce never looked better and the store had actual meat. Now that there's no looming visit its a sheet show. What's happening management?
I used to work at a market so I know "store looks nice for vp visit" when I see it. Get it together

The digital coupon has to go is very confusing and very unfair people. Don't have time to do the digital at home to get a sale.

I am writing to express my concern regarding a recurring issue at this supermarket. While Stop & Shop 8989 Union Turnpike Glendale, NY 11385 opens to the public at 6:00 AM, customers are often forced to wait until 3:00–4:00 PM for rotisserie chickens to become available. This is in stark contrast to other supermarkets, where rotisserie chickens are typically ready by 8:00–9:00 AM.
What’s particularly frustrating is that this wasn’t an issue 5–6 months ago. Back then, your rotisserie chickens were consistently ready by 9:00–10:00 AM. The delay in availability now significantly impacts the convenience and satisfaction of regular customers like me.
Adding to this frustration, when customers inquire about the delay, some employees respond in a rude and arrogant manner. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the otherwise good reputation of Shop123.
I urge you to address this issue promptly—either by ensuring rotisserie chickens are prepared earlier in the day or by taking appropriate action against employees who exhibit poor customer service.

What's a stop & shop what do you expect prices are fine little more than everything else but the quality of the meats are always there and the stores are clean.
Been seeing the robots they have, today they just check for spills and messes on the floor one day they'll start counting foot traffic for local stop & shops love the technology

This store USED to be great before the last management. Mid winter and they are always out of the large bags of bird seeds, much of the bread that’s out are stale and expired and some canned vegetables are also expired.
