This is a business we have been patronizing for years as born West Indian restaurant. Finding a authentic West Indian restaurant is difficult over the last few years. The price has increased over the years but the cuisine is constant and delicious. We love the whole fish, soup, the rice and peas, rainbow cake, if you’re in the mood for a cocktail the bartenders are very excellent. Historically we would have the jerk chicken pork but we no longer eat chicken or pork but if you are in love her of that chicken and pork is delicious. If you’re in Jamaica Queens, are you just in the mood for some of them to Jamaican food the door is the best spot for brown stew fish, excovitch fish.

I ordered steam red snapper and provision. I told them what I want on my food and they did not followed my order. Very disappointed.

From the conversation on the phone with Shamar to the bartending staff, Michael and Andre, whom all were very accommodating. Thanks for making delicious food and keeping "the door" open later. It's very authentic, and we will be coming back often. Cheers!

The Door is always a great experience. Family came in from California and they just knew they wanted to go to The Door. They serve a cornbread which is so delicious. The Rasta Pasta oxtail was so yummy. Can't wait to go back.

I had the oxtail combo plate with fried chicken, baked Mac n cheese, cabbage and plantain and babyyyyyyyyy they did not disappoint! Okayyyy That oxtail legit fell off the bone and was super juicy and flavorful! The fried chicken had me licking my fingers, I’ve never had Mac and cheese as a sub from the rice and they didn’t skimp out at allll! I had a whole side of Mac n cheese! The perfect amount of cheese! The plantain and the cabbage tied everything together for that nice salty sweet mixture! Overall we can say I enjoyed my food and will be ordering again! Best Jamaican spot hands down!

The food is good for the most part but the portions are not enough. I ordered a large curry goat and I got so much rice and very little goat for $20+, that should not be.

Jamaican food never disappoints, and always maintains its quality, money well spent. Went there with a large diverse group from work, a sent-off for a coworker. We did the breakfast buffet. Everyone in the group was impressed, we all thought the food was great. Apart from that, my family and I always order takeout, due to the enormous amount of people, especially on the weekends. It is always wise to call ahead, much faster pickup, 99% of the time, it is ready when you get there. The staff are pleasant.
