The place we called home in the past 5 years. We loved everything about our experience here. We made so many friends, enjoyed the amenities and left with a bunch of incredible memories. Thank you to the amazing team behind: Ali, Andy, Ben, Robert and everyone else for everything you’ve done for us. Myself, my wife and our cat Toulouse will miss The Forge!

We absolutely loved living here! From day one, the staff has been nothing short of amazing — the doormen are friendly and professional, and the management and leasing teams are always on top of everything. You can really tell they care about the residents and take pride in keeping the building running smoothly.
A special shoutout to Maya Elgavisch from the leasing team — she was a lifesaver when we faced an unexpected issue with our lease assignment. Maya went above and beyond to help us through it, staying patient and proactive every step of the way.
After two and a half years here, I can confidently say this is one of the best-managed buildings in the city. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great community and a team that truly looks after its residents!

This building is truly exceptional. The doormen, management, leasing, and renewal teams all go above and beyond to make residents feel at home. Every interaction has been marked by professionalism, care, and efficiency.
A special thank you to the leasing and renewal team — they have been outstanding throughout our two and a half years here, always responsive and dedicated to finding the best solutions. In particular, Maya Elgavisch deserves recognition for her patience and professionalism in helping us navigate a sudden lease assignment challenge. She handled everything seamlessly and with great understanding.
Highly recommend this building to anyone looking for a well-managed, welcoming community in the LIC area.

I lived at The Forge for 5 years and absolutely loved it. The staff: Ben, Andy, Robert, Ali, and everyone else, are incredible. They’re always friendly, prompt, and accommodating, and truly make the building feel like home. Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for us!
The amenities are top notch. The pool, grill area, gym, and common spaces are all spotless and so well maintained. The community here is great too; we made friends we’ll keep for life.
We’ll really miss living here. If you’re thinking about moving to The Forge, do it. It’s a beautiful place to live in with an amazing team behind it.

Nice building, bad move in experience
Moved in very recently and was thrown off by the number of things that went wrong.
The unit itself had a plethora of issues (ie. rust falling from blinds, toilet sometimes doesn't flush, yellow water from shower, very slow drainage in tub, etc). Very unexpected given the glowing reviews and the prices I'm paying. I'm really trying to see the bright side, but I still can't use my shower 2 days after move in..

I've been living here for half a year and have loved my experience so far! The building is quiet, clean and smoke free. Great amenities, the classes and events are amazing. The doormen are friendly and always helpful with packages. Best place I've lived so far in NYC and I've been in 3 other buildings.

We’ve been living at The Forge for three years. The location is truly ideal — it’s quiet and peaceful, unlike some buildings in LIC where you can hear the subway or traffic. Yet it’s still super convenient, with everything we need just steps away.
Special thanks to the amazing team here — the doormen are always warm, welcoming, and professional. The maintenance staff are incredibly responsive and efficient when it comes to service requests. And the office team has been consistently helpful and kind.
Highly recommend The Forge to anyone looking for a great place to live in LIC.

Stove gas entirely broken for 4+ months and no compensation was provided. Additionally elevators were broken for almost 1+ months.

We could not have loved our time at The Forge more. Without a doubt the best part of our experience was the people: everyone who works and lives at The Forge is friendly, authentic, caring, and warm. The guys at the front desk could not be kinder!! We also loved our light-filled apartment, the thoughtful details (solar panels, preserved graffiti from the original warehouse structure, great storage, etc.) and how EASY everything is. Packages, mail, shared spaces: we never had a single issue in 2 years. We are moving west, otherwise would gladly continue calling The Forge home.

So expensive but honestly a solid building. Love the folks at the front desk, maintenance is prompt and unfussy. Issues are diagnosed and fixed promptly. I had issues with our AC, turns out it wasn't flush with the wall so outside air was getting in!
I moved out and decided to clean myself. Yes I spent like 4 hours cleaning but I got my entire deposit back no questions asked so I feel they are fair and not nitpicky.
There was a period of time where they were jackhammering all around the building for accessibility which I wasn't happy with. And they turned my toilet into a motion instead of a physical flush for accessibility which was annoying (I promptly reattached the flush handle). But no more changes are planned for the future probably.

The Forge is one of the best rental residential buildings in general, which makes it even more bittersweet for me to write this review after having lived here with my fiancé. The other reviews raved about the amenities and service already, so I’ll just simply echo their sentiments. The staff do an amazing job of maintaining the building in general - it still feels almost new. The staff (super, doormen/concierge, porters, and handyman) are great, so I cannot give a shout out to specific people; otherwise, I will have to list out everyone’s names. Apartments are thoughtfully constructed, with lots of storage space already built in. Poliform kitchen cabinetry is very durable. Sound proofing - both between apartments and from outside - is superb. Even though we faced the rail yard out east, we barely heard anything besides the occasional very muffled Amtrak horn. Garbage rooms, at least in the higher level floors, were emptied at least daily. Because of how well sealed and well insulated the apartment was, the heaters or ac didn’t need to run as frequently and we barely paid anything in our electricity bill (maybe only around $40 a month). Bathroom floor heating is a nice option, but we didn’t really need to use it. If only The Forge had apartments for purchase… well, I look forward to visiting in the future.

The Forge was the best apartment community we have lived in NYC. What makes it so special is its people. The staff, from the front desk, super, maintenance, and community/administrative, were amazing and became good friends whom I trust and depend on. They truly wanted to know us better, understand our needs, and provide the best help they can provide.
Other aspects are great as well - apartments with excellent hardware (good appliance quality, nothing flimsy, etc.), good amenities (small but great swimming pools, decent gym, excellent fitness programs), and great community activities.

Living at the Forge has been my most favorite home as an adult. The prime location and genuine kindness of the staff makes me so eager to come back to my safe haven. Will miss everyone!
