I have been to many pharmacies in my time. The Red Hook, New York Pharmacy is Tops (no pun intended). The pharmacy staff is well trained, caring and responsive. This is due to the leadership of Mr. Demetrios Sassos. I have been Chief of Human Resources in many places, and in that role I have frequently evaluated staff performance. I know what a quality workforce looks like when I see it. The other local pharmacies are good, but this one is outstanding.

Pharmacists are awesome people! However, not all of the cashiers are created equal! Some are very kind and helpful, while others seem clueless and dismissive.

All of the staff is very kind and helpful. Everyone is patient and thoughtful and answers any questions I might have. Truly a pleasure. Thankful it's my neighborhood pharmacy.

Truly caring and kind staff. I went in to pick up a prepaid prescription, and the pharmacist who had just clocked in didn’t realize it was set aside. They said it’s not here, no big deal, so I left and to my car.A moment before I was ready to drive off; the pharmacist came to my window to let me know they located it. For lack of a better term, this is what I consider above and beyond. Above: their pay grade (they didn’t get paid to chase me haha) and Beyond the confines of the Hannaford’s to make sure I got what I needed. Thank you hannaford’s pharmacy.

Went to the pharmacy at Hannaford's in Red Hook, NY to have 4 prescriptions transferred. The woman behind the counter told me repeatedly (at least 3x) that they had a hard time getting in touch with CVS pharmacies. I said I wasn't in a rush, but she kept complaining and was trying everything she could to get me to leave. I guess they don't care about all the shopping I do there or that now, I'll be going elsewhere.The final straw was when she started reading my prescriptions out loud with other people standing right behind me. I asked her not to do that, but she kept on going. Not sure if this is a HIPAA violation, but I plan on checking with my attorney.

If you are someone who is picky about the cleanliness of the store, then this is the place for you. The store is always well stocked and very clean. They have a great seafood and deli department. Produce is always fresh. Their meat department always has several things on sale - watch for the yellow tag items to get some good deals. I Enjoy coming here. The store has been a good addition to our community. They have gone out of their way to make their location aesthetically pleasing and I appreciate that.

I love this Hannaford's Supermarket. I despise food shopping, but at this market, it is totally tolerable. However, the pharmacy is atrocious. I have been waiting an hour, watching others come to the window only to be told their prescription is not ready even though they were told it would be. More are not ready than are ready. It is infuriating, sitting here, waiting and waiting and waiting AND waiting. Going home is not an option as it is an hour round trip. So, I continue to wait.

I'm genuinely not sold on this place altogether. Everything seems more expensive than let's say Walmart and they charge you a fee for them to bring the merchandise out to your car on a sliding scale depending on how much you spend whereas Walmart doesn't charge to bring it to your vehicle. I was taken by an employee the one time I went there cause I usually use Walmart which brings the stuff out but also bags it into your car. The Hannaford employee brought the stuff out and I guess I wasn't moving fast enough for her cause she said "well ya gonna put the stuff in the car or not" Now I mean it seems you are paying 50 cents to a dollar more an item on what I bought, getting charged a fee to have them bring it to your car so you can load it yourself so you would think the premium you are paying would not get you an attitude with your merchandise. I have gone there maybe 5 times in the past year and most of the people have been very nice. I did have 1 person say don't I get a tip for bringing the stuff out. Their website says "Please, no tips for Hannaford To Go pickup orders. It is our pleasure to provide this service to you, our valued customer. Your return business, recommendation to friends and family, and thanks are the best tip we can receive. I guess for convenience they are ok and they do carry quality items but I'm thinking I'll pay the toll over the bridge to save the $20 to $40 difference for driving a couple of extra miles.

Every time--and I mean every time -- I enter this store, I am forced to inhale some employee's cigarette smoke. The store has situated the employee smoking area directly to the right of the entrance, and they physics are such that every time those automatic doors open, they're sucking all the smoke right toward the customers. I finally said something at the CS desk last month and the woman at the counter was like: "Well, that's where the employees smoke. Where else they gonna do it?" She seemed to think there was no other option than to let the employees smoke right next to the store. But surely the management has more foresight than that? Or are the employees as truly as beaten-down and hopeless as they seem? Personally, I don't smoke. And I don't enjoy inhaling other people's smoke either--especially not at a grocery mart, where all the produce is also being exposed to the smoke

Has a great selection of organic foods which is great. Staff are helpful and courteous. Store is clean and I love their book sales to help local charities. And whenever I've had any issues they are always happy to refund or come to a solution for the customer!

i truely never write reviews but felt compelled as i just spoke with the pharmacist Tim. I have tried to work with my Dr and TIM to obtain my medications two days early. I have done everything according to the so called RULES( which i have been rudely educated on by Tim) when attempting to explain that i have been a patron of the pharmacy since they opened and that i have now lost two nights of a pre paid stay due to complying with Hannaford. Instead of attempting to validate my concern or offering assistance . He became rude and stated that if its money related (pre paid stay) that its not his issue but the owness is on the Dr. I am totally shocked and taken back by his lack of professionalism and compassion. i am a professional who works in healthcare and work to assit not shame or belittle. Hannaford should be ashamed .

Just a wonderful store. I highly recommend it
