I recently had the opportunity to spend some time in Pause Boutique. The owner, Sammy, was friendly and knowledgeable. She greeted each customer with a smile. Sammy is very knowledgeable and carries a wide variety of high quality dog snacks to satisfy every canine palate regardless of allergy or personal preference. She also carries a huge selection on leashes, beds, coats and toys all for your canine's comfort and pleasure. I highly recommend taking the time to peruse her happy little establishment. You, and your four legged friend, will be glad you did.

Sammy is an exceptional business owner. The new store is beautifully displayed and laid out. My dogs love the treats especially the Bocce cookies.

Owner was extremely rude insulted my girlfriend indirectly Staring at us to the point as if she thought we were stealing When I bent over to pick something up my mask briefly moved not exposing my nose but was still yelled at by the owner after apologizing for my mask not being tight enough I realize half their products do not even have a price probably because they’re trying to hide the extremely overpriced products they’re trying to sell Overall experience unwelcoming To be quite honest extremely rude . To be honest I think the store is a front Because someone that mean obviously doesn’t have a puppy ... Well hopefully not God rest his soul

She’s such a sweet woman! I have a dog who hates people and other dogs so I went in without him to ask if I could bring him in. She said yes and locked the door behind us so we could have a private session! He was so calm with her that he even went off leash (he wore a muzzle just in case). She’s great with dogs and has a nice selection of pet goods. He ended up getting a new bow tie and some animal ears to snack on. Not all dogs are friendly but all dogs deserve to walk into a pet store and pick out their favorite treats without a care in the world. I’m just happy that my dog can finally do just that. Also the prices are pretty good especially for a small business.

I have been shopping at Pause for years. Cute pet items. Yummy treats. Sammy is super knowledgeable and cares about her customers both human and canine. She will work hard to find you the right product. She cares local pet products and treats. Highly recommend to check out her shop.

Any time we go into the shop, Sammy greets us with a "Hello" and "let me know if you need anything help". If I don't have our dog Stella with us, she asks how she is doing. I have recently bought a coat and bed for Stella, Sammy had Stella find the right coat that fit perfectly. She is full of knowledge and is always a pleasure to talk to! I would recommend Pause for any dog (and cat) need!

Frequent customer of Pause Dog Boutique in Rhinebeck. Love the selection, several things unique and hard to find elsewhere, especially the dog woofers (chicken and beef) and new food, treats, toys, and collars always show up. Sammy runs a great store and is friendly and super professional. If you have a dog and are in the area (Dutchess, Columbia, Ulster counties) definitely stop in. Right on Route 9/Montgomery St. across from Terrapin and Oblong Books, and next to Paper Trail cards and gifts.

Sammy at the Pause Dog Boutique is the most knowledgable person I know when it comes to what’s best for your pet. Her thoughtful curation of treats, food and gear makes it a true pleasure to shop at her cherry store. My pup loves to visit and I go once a week to stock up.
