The Corner Counter is a neighborhood cheese shop and eatery in the historic village of Red Hook. It serves as a community gathering space with a warm, welcoming environment. The shop offers artisan cheese and charcuterie, craft beer and cider, coffee, and specialty foods. The food menu includes a rotating selection of sandwiches, salads, prepared foods, and cheese plates. Reviews call it an amazing place with top-notch, fantastic, and delicious food. The destination grilled cheese sandwich is hands down the best ever eaten and worth the calories. The turkey Reuben was so good, and the tomato soup was awesome. The quiche is the most amazing ever had, with a scrumptious crust. The breads are to die for, and the coffee is divine. The marketplace of items is great. It supports local farms and purveyors, with a curation of cheese from local creameries and notable regions. Pricing is normal for Red Hook, a bit expensive, but feels worth it. Customers love the owners and personnel and plan to return.
We’re trying to find a bathroom but came across this awesome place! We split a grilled cheese with pesto that was divine. There was also a little shop up front. Will definitely be back when we’re in the area!

Lots of cheese and other retail items to buy. Pricy. Plenty of spots to settle in with a fancy coffee or similar beverage. Free wifi for hanging out.

Excellent selection of cheeses (including non-cow for folks who are Lactose intolerant), crackers, and other prepared foods and pantry items. Great coffee. Very friendly and welcoming team. A wonderful spot to have in Red Hook.
