“Steamed seafood, yum. You pick your seafood, you pick your veggie sides, they literally season to taste; then into the steamer it goes. Everything is cooked to order in front of you and is to go ONLY. You're in the store/wait for about 20 to 30 mins.*If you don't like your veggies soft separate them from the seafood and tell them 5 mins. The seafood is steamed about 15 mins.Good healthy options. They do fry also but most orders are steamed. Smart concept.”

“United Brothers Fruit Markets is located in Astoria, Queens. Open 24 hours / 7 days a week, various produce is available. The apples sold here come straight from NY State Farms, and it is to support local farmers. Connected right next door to the marketplace is where they have a Juice Bar & sell fresh juices & smotthies as well as their infamous Hot Apple Teas! United Brothers Fruit Market is accessible via public transportation, which includes the N train to 30 Ave. It is a short walking distance from the train station and is close to a host of hang-out spots, eateries, etc. and not too far from shops on Steinway (GAP, Banana Republic, etc.) When arriving at United Brothers Fruit Markets, there are Hot Apple Tea samples that once can try near the outside front entrance. This establishment introduced me to Hot Apple Tea, and it is delicious. Although I have purchased reasonably priced produce many times, United Brothers Fruit Markets 100% Natural Homemade Hot Apple Tea is my favorite thing to purchase here, and I have had various flavors. Strawberry Blueberry Hot Apple Tea, Spearmint Hot Apple Tea, Ginger Cinnamon Hot Apple Tea, Mango Hot Apple Tea, Ginger Hot Apple Tea, etc....you name it and they sell it. The Pineapple Hot Apple Tea is so good. A regular size Hot Apple Tea is $5, and a large size is $7. The Hot Apple Teas are so refreshing. “Reliable. Delicious. I love visiting Veggies for an easy meal or delight. My favorite drinks include their PB and J (a protein smoothie) and the Sunshine. I have no idea how Veggies Staff keep track of so many recipes, but every smoothie or juice I've had is consistently delicious and I recommend that anyone stop by.This location is small, with little room to sit inside and a bench to use outside, but it's nice to see all of the ingredients going into your drink, and seeing the art that fills the space.”

“The best super market with in the area. Always has the best and freshest meat and chicken. Also have a wide selection of international foods. You will literally find anything you are looking for here. Staff are extremely friendly and willing to do whatever it takes to make sure their customers are satisfied. Owner has even offered to get me a ride home because my husband was taking too long to pick me up! If that doesn’t scream great customer service i don’t know what does! The owner and the arab butcher specifically are super friendly and always trying to put a smile on their customers faces by having funny conversations. Owner is always in the store which shows how much they care about their business. Could not recommend this store enough!”

“My goto supermarket in Sunnyside where you can find almost everything. I love the bagels that I buy early in the morning which sometime gets sold out by noon or evening. It's in the heart of Sunnyside near the Post Office and Sunnyside Library.”

“Very happy with this location as their prices for many items are lower than Walmart. Food is always fresh as their storeroom does not stock up on food/perishables. What is on shelves is for the day only and restocked everyday.”

“My fav deli ever! Someone said the best in Brooklyn and that just might be true! The staff is very friendly, helpful and sweet ?♥️ Lots of groceries for last minute shopping and great prices for meat selection, especially ground beef. One thing though... IT'S NOT OPEN UNTIL MIDNIGHT. They usually close by 10pm-ish. Unfortunately! I wish they were open longer... or that Google had correct hours listed”

“Nice store & nice selection for what it is. It isn't the biggest store out there so it can' t be expected to carry everything and, yes, it's a bit more expensive. That said, just like any convenience store, it offers what you need and does so consistently and does it well. Appreciate them being there.”

“It's rare to find a good juice place these days - Juii C Juice is not just good, they're actually amazing. This is based on delivery only - but every time I've ordered, the drinks come well packaged and more importantly - the ingredients are fresh and delicious. They definitely give you the contents (fruits, vegetables, etc.) because you can taste it. I have ordered from other juice places before and request items like additional ginger, but it comes with obviously no ginger (and I get charged of course). Juii C Juice definitely gives you what you paid for. Appreciate the honesty and the care they take into all of my orders, especially if there are requests.”

“It was a wonderful find on the trip! There is fresh food to pick up from self-service. There are countless options, it is almost impossible to decide what you prefer to eat. The value per kg is displayed on a sign in front of the food. Everything very fresh and quality. There are plenty of places to sit and eat in peace, and they also play really cool music.A great tip is that they have a section just for “snacks” like bagels, bread with eggs and bacon, etc. Freshly made and wrapped in aluminum foil just like in the Harley Quinn movie!”

“A friend of mine was raving about Aldi. I had only visited a location in Connecticut (in or near Bridgeport). It is a smaller store so I didn’t get the hype. Found this one recently, very close to the highway and next door to an amazing Dollar Tree. The store was well stocked with a good selection of items. It was a little messy but this was on the weekend. The lines were a little long but they were moving. I will revisit in a weekday. Worth a visit.”

“Yummy DELICIOUS birria pizza and al pastor pizza. I did half and half a medium for $25. It was SO GOOD. I definitely recommend. Me personally I liked the birria side better, but my friend liked the al pastor better. So I guess just try both flavors!”

“The best value for veggies and fruit in the city. I come out of here like a mule with $30 worth of groceries. And getting a fresh juice makes doing the grocery errand that much more fun. Please open one in Cypress Hills, brooklyn! It’s badly needed there.”

“Used to be my #1 stop for every day grocery shopping but now their prices are skyrocketing! They are acting like their products are vip some how! I like the environment and the fruit and vegetables variety and freshness.”

“If you are interested in international products that are not easy to find in Manhattan, you may be able to find it here. Asian, Balkan and Middle Eastern cuisine focused, for clarification. They also have good representations of supermarket staples such as freshly made cakes, hot food bar, and a good selection of produce. Pricier than even Whole Foods for the items that WF also sells, so you may want to buy the necessities here and continue your shopping at other supermarkets.”

“Stumbled upon this authentic Italian grocery market because I saw these huge Kinder eggs that I purchased for my sons 3rd birthday. They have all sorts of fresh pasta, cheeses, olives. I would definitely return here and spend more time to purchase ingredients.Parking can be a hassle in this area so it’s best to go in the morning or later at night as there’s too much commercial traffic in between. Parking is also metered so be sure to have coins in case these pesky machines keep declining your card!Huge bonus, Dollar tree is right across the street!”

“Great little neighborhood family run market for years. Has a little of everything you might need.clean, friendly, a notch above the small markets and bodegas in the neighborhood. No deli counter or salad bar etc, just a pure small market”

“the closest thing to a green market in Queens. Fruits and vegetables and bunches of herbs locally sourced and achingly fresh and delicious. Garlic so new and flavorful that I've had to cut down in recipes. L.I. tomatoes glowing with real dirt picked fresh off the vine--no wonder they've been here fifty years and open until midnight. The beginning of fall apples waiting for pies and apple sauce. The two women who run it are sympathetic and helpful. If you can't find it, they'll know where it is. Even the potatoes taste fresh--so different from standard grocery store fare! Summer asparagus that I couldn't stop eating. And baby zuchinni and I don't like zuchinni. I am so happy. I didn't think when I moved anything could equal the Sunday market at the museum of Natural History. Elliniki more than succeeds--and its open seven days a week.”

“Mom wanted a fruit platter for her 90th birthday party. She wanted many berries and kiwis. We got them on a huge platter of beautifully crafted melons and pineapple and plum slices. The artistic arrangement and ripe sweet juicy fruits were amazing. Highly recommend.”

“Great selection of fresh produce, spices, dried nuts and stuff, and basics you'd need for cooking. However, don't expect them to have the full selection that nearby Pomegranate has. For me personally, I thought it strange that they carried horseradish and other obscure radishes, but didn't carry cayenne peppers. For herbs, they carry tarragon, but not parsley or basil. There's tons of stuff in the back, but would love if they stocked more Asian inspired ingredients, such as miso paste, etc. Also, would stock flavored seltzer instead of plain seltzer.”
