I was in this store today and due to an issue with Amazon's return system this was the 2nd time to return something. I was ready to give up, when the young man at the counter said he'd help me - have you heard of going above and beyond? well he went beyond that, he was courteous and above all patient. He just made my day and I could not let this occasion pass without giving credit where credit is due. So on this last day of 2023 Thank You J O N A T H A N, you are a customer service superstar!!

**WARNING** DO NOT USE STAPLES FOR RETURNING AMAZON ITEMS.The kids that work there will damage, heavily destroy returned items to Amazon. This will cause Amazon to place a disclaimer on all future returns or replacement items.I had Amazon investigate into why our family account was receiving disclaimers for all replacements and returns. Amazon Support after investigation informed me where this problem steamed from and removed the problem.Nevertheless, the root - Staples is a bad actor

I visited Staples store, located at9030 Metropolitan Ave Suite 3, Rego Park, NY 11374 two days in a row.First time, I went there for a return because I want to have a price match adjustment. I bought an Apple product on line and I found there was a cheaper price in BH photo and video. So I went ahead to this store to get it adjusted. First of all, the staff are great. They helped me to return the item and to purchase again (it’s store policy thing). At least they were willing to do the adjustment for me and it was supposed to be done in couple minutes. However, because i purchased my item with a gift card, the credit could not go back to the card right away. The store manager was able to help me to contact customer support for that, just the credit still needed some time to be processed.Hence, I went there the next day. There comes this guy called Melquan Allen, a supervisor of the same store. After I told him I want to do the price match, he asked for which store. When I showed him BH phone and video which this guy has no idea of, he told me “no, we can’t do it with unauthorized dealer”. I told him, do you even know what is BH, it’s an authorized dealer. He said it s not on their list for price matching. I asked him to show me the list. The list shows Target, Walmart, Best Buy and Other electronics retailer, etc. He then show me a different screen of store policy, which says any retailer sell the item in store and online under the same brand. I told him right there, which policy in your store says I couldn’t do the price match with BH (he even argued with me if BH has a store, I told him just google it, he said you can google anything, like eBay or whatever.) He then showed me on his phone screen with only Walmart, Best Buy and Target for the price match. I said then why I was able to do it yesterday and I came here because I checked your website before coming here. He said, if other managers do it, that’s their policy, I am not going to break my rule and get fired. How stupid is this guy??? If you showed me all the policy, why you don’t even follow it. Why the first screen even mention other electronic retailer besides the ones you already listed. He said, even it’s just $10, I m not going to adjust for you… I just don’t understand why you have someone like this as a store in charge who doesn’t even know the policy well.My only request to this guy is to tell him write and read your policy 100 times before coming out to argue with his customers.Don’t go to him if you are asking for something beyond his knowledge, until he fully aware what he is doing.

Employee has terrible attitude or just she was in bad mood….. wish they had some manners towards customers. Just horrible.By the way , this is UPS shipping service counter.

Customer service are terrible in Copy and Print department. When I pick up my oder representative told that we can pay there. Other said no, because he was busy gigging with othere two colleagues. Register use to have one cashier and line.Company need to create self motivation incitement.

When I left this store this morning I was soooo upset. The manager Melquan was soo rude and wasn’t respectful. So this was the store I place an order online print order. The young man stated that my order was number 6 and couldn’t do it right away. I explained I traveled 30 mins away I usually go to Northern but I needed something in that area. Long story short the manager came and said it couldn’t be done he asked me to send it again and rush. I told him I couldn’t I asked could it be transferred to Northern he said no I was like hmmm what to do. So he said I’m cancel this order I said why just because I think u want to waste paper he stated. I said no I’m pick it up don’t cancle my order he stated he can make that decision because he’s the manager throwing his power around. I said 3 times don’t cancel my order and he did. I said I want to speak to the store manager he said I am. I stated that’s why u acting like that ok. I will never go to that location again. I asked another customer was I rude they stated I wasn’t paying no attention. Melquan said I couldn’t asked another customer I said I can video tape u how u treating me he said yeah and I can call the police because I didn’t give u that right but he said I could. He’s jus rude. I need to speak to the general manager

Horrible service here. Workers worry about talking about their personal lives instead of tending to customers. Very slow service at the print center. New management needed!

They tried to charge me $12 to cut my printing paper at this location. $1.65 per side!!!!! I've been coming to another staples in Lawrence and they cut it for me for $3.00! Every month! Staff is young lazy and entitled don't come here for printing services.

It's obvious that they're busy and understaffed, but the employees here really, REALLY hate their jobs and seemingly their lives. Stay away at all costs.
