They are so professional as soon as I enter the bank I was greeted by the manager Mr Juan he was so professional I explained my situation he said no problem . And the teller Mrs Tina was amazing. They took very great care of me. I am happy that I went there.

Getting a Webster bank account was the biggest mistake I made in my life. Can you imagine trying to close your account for a year and didn't manage to do so?

I'm being generous by giving this place a 3. The place is clean, and the one teller looks like she is trying. However, this line is taking way too long.The only reason I still bank here is because I'm too lazy to change over my direct deposits.You can probably do better some place else.

Went to get some cash from the bank machine and when got home found that the machine gave me almost a half absent bill of $20.. Also, when I asked a teller in the bank to give me singles she, a russian speaking woman/teller told me that the bank doesn't have them. What kind of nonsense is this??? is it laziness of a teller or sad reality of this branch?? Common, fix these issues managers or you will not see much clients in your bank

Went to this branch to close a account and it took way longer than it should have. The teller seemed to not know what she was doing and was going back and forth with a associate on whether or not she was doing the correct steps in order to close my account.

Every time I turn around this particular branch is closed, for one thing or the other. I can't tell u the number of times I went to use their atm...( with my money).. and both machines were not working ! Went to complain a few times..& wanted a " REFUND" for having to use a pvt atm machine.. ( because of no fault of my own .. I have to pay fees to sterling for out of service atm ? Wtf! .. they returned the money they charged me.. but wld not return the the money I was charged at the pvt ATM... I said.. why not? I had to use it because u ppl can't keep ur own atm machines maintained! Sickening.. I really miss the old " ASTORIA FEDERAL.." where I knew everyone as they knew me too! These ppl can't even be decent..

Is this a real bank? Spent an hour with a personal banker to close an account. 1 banker on a Saturday. They couldn’t figure out how to navigate the system to generate a check. Fortunately I will never need to return. ALERT. Banking is about customer service.

Long waiting time in the branch; line takes forever. They need more staff but also, once at the teller, it takes too long to make a simple deposit; not the teller's fault, its the system that is probably outdated. Go to my other bank TD and its in and out. One time I made a cash deposit at the ATM on a Sat MORNING (bank was open but the line was too long), the deposit didn't show until Monday (again, no staff to open those envelopes on a Saturday?)

Astoria was my family bank for decades, starting when it was Long Island City Savings. It was part of the community, it sponsored a few scholarships for local high school students. More relevant--rates for thrift accounts were competitive (saying a rate is 'great' doesn't make it better than the one at Chase, next door, and sentiment won't make me keep it with you) and the tellers and staff knew everyone, including those older customers who showed up seemingly to sit down on a couch and visit their money. The current staff seem miserable, unhappy to be there, and unhappy to work with me. My other account is at Ridgewood, in that grand old building, and there's palpable energy and a sense of community there.

Bank employees are extremely slow. They make you wait 20 minutes or more per transaction. Sterling Bank is a SCAM because they steal from customers by charging $10 for a paper statement. BEWARE! STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK.

I totally agree with Jonathan T. Ever since they switched to Sterling from Astoria everything went downhill from there. The lines have gotten so much longer..some of the so called "specialists" specialize in nothing..a few of them are great but most suck!! Even the automated telephone service sucks..it never recognizes the right number when you enter it. DO NOT USE STERLING!!! Check other banks before going here!!! I would give zero stars if i could!!!!
