I’ve been going here since I was age 13-15. (I’m 32 now do the math).I just waited on hold for 30 minutes to make an appointment with an “answering service” to find out they’re communicating with the MD office while I sit on hold. The date they offered me didn’t work with my schedule, and they offered me a call back from the office to schedule my follow up. (Mind you, my physical has been rescheduled 2x and canceled 1x BY THEM). I was told I’d get a call back for the last canceled, and I have yet to hear, so I chose to follow up with this outcome.10/10 do not recommend. There are many other doctor’s offices with better communication out there. (I’m a fresh grad RN who has been making and taking people with disabilities on doctor’s appointments for 9 years, all over the capital district).

If you're a patient seeking support and convenience, please steer clear of this place. All we needed was one little paper from the doctor's note that clears the patient to work without restrictions. However, we were completely disregarded and put through loops. "We'll give you a call back," they said, and we were told to wait more than necessary. I was patient, following up after the supposed 2-week timeframe for paperwork. Days passed, and I did my best to follow up, ensuring I followed instructions. However, they weren't doing what they were supposed to on their end and blamed us, refusing to take accountability for their actions. "You're not the only patient" and many other excuses were used to shift blame onto us for their lack of effort. The patient lost a job opportunity because the staff failed to provide the necessary paperwork and do the bare minimum. It's heartbreaking how some people can be so cruel and careless about another person's livelihood. Shame on them.

Rude receptionist, Long waits, unorganized. No option when calling other than to speak to the receptionist to cancel or change appointment.

When I moved to East Greenbush, one of the first things I needed to do was find a primary care to refill my important daily meds. I was able to get set up with Family Medical Group, and they are super close to my home. It's been really convenient, and I like my provider. I saw a lot of bad reviews calling out NP Cook, but in my several visits she has never made me feel like "just a check" or anything of the sort. She moves quickly, but I love that I can get in and out fast. I've gone to an appointment on my lunch break and only spent 10 minutes in the office! She's to the point, but doesn't miss relevant details either. She also was able to get me several referrals sent out to a few specialist I needed for continuing my treatment. At my old doctor, it was a battle to get even one referral! I can't speak on the other providers, but Cook is amazing in my book.

It's a strip-mall doctors office, and that's exactly what you get. Dirty waiting rooms, disorganized and miserable staff, unreliable and poorly managed, and 100% apathetic. I don't know how they stay licensed.Your health is worth more that a strip-mall doctor. Keep looking.

They have a sign in waiting room that your appointment will be cancelled if you are 15 minutes late and Dr Cristelli has a 5 minute late rule. They took my appointment away. I told this to Coleen and they are sticking to Dr. Cristelli's rule. I disagreed and was told that my actions were inappropriate. I was not yelling loudly but I had no right to disagree. They also accused me of sitting in my car for 2-3 hours waiting for Dr. Cristelli. That was a total lie! Because of my alleged behavior I was told by their manager that you can't be patient at family medical anymore.I am not the only one who has this problem with this situation. They just don't want to cut any one any slack!

They take the schedule and cancel all of a sudden. Than I rescheduled another day. For a family emergency I was calling them to inform that I'll be 15-20 min late. 3/4 times I called and no one picked up the phone. Finally someone picked up and said it's ok you can come I left them message. I came at 10:16 instead of 10:15 and they said I have to reschedule. I drove 30 miles to here and only for 1 min late they cancel my schedule. If you give a phone number please pick it up. People can have emergencies.

Kirsten cook and team do not have any interest in actually helping any patients. Not sure about any other providers in that office but I can definitely reccomend staying away from cook if you want to be treated like a person and not just insurance check

Horrible experience probably been there 3X and one of the appointments was for a physical and then dr.cook decided to ask why im scheduling a physical. Clearly she never looked at my chart cause i was due for one. Oh lets not forget i had to go to urgent care since i was on hold for more than 15 minutes someone forgot i was on hold then the call disconnected called back and was put on hold just for the receptionist to not answer cause it was close to 4:30 never picked the phone back up. Talk about NEGLECT. Come to find out i had pneumonia and called the nurse line just for you guys not to answer A WHOLE WEEK then come to find out i had bronchitis. Fought tooth and nail about medication and appointment for brotonchitis and cook was miserable at the appointment And whoever that blonde girl is that came in before cook needs her attitude evaluated..i needed all my medical records sent to a doctor that would actually listen to my health concerns and this lady had meFill out the wrong paperwork then telling me id have to come back. how annoying is that. TALK ABOUT WASTE OF GAS

This was absolutely the worst place I have ever went to. I have been going here for 8 years. Saw someone new, and boom I was dismissed. They didn't even assess me or look at my problem. The doctors bedside manner is disgusting. The office manager is a disgrace and a real winner. and disgusting as well. Dr. RAMANATHAN IS TERRIBLE AS IS THAT NEW PRACTITIONER LUZ.

My appointment was canceled for important lab work when I was 4 minutes late at 8am, they don't answer before 8am so there was no way to call sooner. They now use a call center for scheduling appointments and I was mislabeled as a full check up so NP Kristen Cook refused to see me. I used to love this practice now I feel like I'm just a number. I'll be changing practices. I would not recommend.

It bothers me that they’ll cancel your appointment after 15 minutes but take 30 minutes to see you when you show up to your appointment. This is my least favorite office to try and schedule with. No empathy shown whatsoever.

This is the worst dr office. The receptionist are so rude and they hang up the phone on you. I definitely will be calling the department of health on them. Looking for a new dr. Ever since Elizabeth and Cheryl left the dr office went down hill. Wouldn’t recommend this dr.

I Went in with poison ivy . I saw a new nurse practitioner. The nurse practitioner I saw before left. The nurse spent only a few minutes with me. I showed her my rash on my back, then I told her about the rash on my hand she didn’t even look at. She called in a script to the the pharmacy. I went to the pharmacy I only had a script for the general poison ivy. I asked the pharmacist if anything was called in for my hand they said no. I went home and call the doctors office back. They then had a script called in for the open sore rash on my hand. I went to the pharmacy again to pick up the script for my hand. I showed the pharmacist my hand. He told me I couldn’t use the new script because I had open lesions on my hand it wasn’t made for that. I was upset. I went back to the doctors office and complained about the mistake they made. They told me I could make a new appointment to come in. I told them I was there for all the same issues I came in with before . They informed me they were busy and I would have to make a new appointment. I couldn’t believe it. I also mentioned to the nurse practitioner when I was there for the appointment I wanted to get the Shingles and Flue shot now she said it was ok to get it. But I would have to get it at the pharmacy. When I went to the pharmacy I mentioned that I wanted to get the shingles and flue shot. The pharmacist said you can’t get them for at least a week after your off the medication your doctor called in is finished. That was a little alarming. Thanks to the pharmacist for paying attention to my medical issues.

If you have a medication that needs to be called in monthly, don't expect the Rx to be sent to your pharmacy on a timely manner. Expect having to call repeatedly. Don't expect a call back if you explicitly request one. These comments are based on about 2 years' worth of experience and multiple attempts to discuss said problems with the office manager.
