I recently purchased a 2017 Honda Pilot from Y & H Auto Planet, and I’m extremely disappointed with how the vehicle was misrepresented.
The entire undercarriage and wheels show signs of being submerged in water extensive rust, The tires were completely done, Caliber that was seized, corrosion, and sediment buildup are impossible to ignore. The engine light came on a couple weeks into buying the car.
Even the rotors appear to have been painted, likely an attempt to hide the damage rather than properly address it.
These are not minor cosmetic issues this vehicle is clearly flood-damaged, raising serious red flags about its mechanical reliability and safety.
Attempting to conceal that kind of damage shows a lack of transparency that I would have never expected from a dealership with Y & H’s generally positive reputation.
I take responsibility for not doing a proper check of the vehicle here’s What to be aware of:
Have a trusted, independent mechanic thoroughly inspect any vehicle before buying especially for structural or water damage.
Ask direct questions about prior water exposure and insist on documentation.
Be cautious of quick fixes or cosmetic “touch-ups” that may be meant to mask underlying issues.
I wish I had seen this level of damage before finalizing the sale. Unfortunately, my trust in Y & H Auto Planet is now severely compromised.

Horrible experience from beginning to end. I purchased a 2012 Toyota Sienna here to use for travel and camping. Off the bat, typical dealership courtesies were neglected. There was only a 1/3 tank of gas when we picked it up, the interior had garbage and dirty carpets that needed to be clean, and I was only given 1 key and was refused a second one. I can over look those things. The REAL fun started when we brought it home and immediately started hearing and feeling unsavory noises and vibrations. We were suppose to take it on a trip to Maine for my wife’s birthday but we were so nervous that we decided to bring our other (much smaller and uncomfortable vehicle) for our trip instead and schedule the Sienna to get checked out at our local Toyota Dealership. Thank God we did. They discovered first and foremost that the left front axle was in immediate need of changing and probably would have left us stranded (or worse in an accident) if we had taken it to Maine. That was a 1500 dollar expense right there. We also discovered that the van was out of alignment so badly that the tires were chopped and all 4 needed to be replaced ($900). Not to mention things we’re currently putting off, (steering shaft and rear differential support bushing) that also need to be taken care of. Unfortunately in NYS, lemon law only protects cars with under 100k on them and this van was purchased with 130k. I’m not even sure how this van passed a legal NYS inspection.

We are returning customers. Purchased a Honda CRV a few years ago for one of my daughters. Had a great experience. Returned last week to purchase another vehicle for another daughter. We found a nice car. Explained it needed repairs to back brakes. They took care of it! Hopefully this car has no issues like the last.

My Nephew purchased a Jeep wrangler from Y and H auto planet...in less than a week and a half from delivery the vehicle overheated! Y AND H SENT HIM TO A DISREPUTABLE REPAIR FACILITY AND HE HAS HAD CONTINUED PROBLEMS WITH THE JEEP SINCE...I'm here to update this review while I think they weren't very professional at first... I have to give them good marks on their handling of the situation...they Did the right thing and were stand up gentleman...It's really not their fault Chrysler can't build a quality product to save it's life...
