If you are promoter of local business this is one of the best in the area. I loved their vegetarian soup. They have great collection of preserves and maple syrups. Had a lot of activities going on the local winter festival day.

Riverview Orchard is a nice family-friendly orchard. We love to visit the animals out back when we first arrive. Then we pop into the store for a bag to collect our apples in. If you go on the week during apple picking season, there's a tractor hayride to take you out to the orchard. They have a limited, but delicious selection of apples to pick from. Afterwards, we go back into the store to pay for our apples. If you don't fill up your bag, they only charge you a partial amount, which is really nice! We pick out some cider, a dozen donuts, and a homemade pie. While I check out, the kids look at the bee colony inside the store. Overall, I love the non commercialization of this family farm! The prices are very reasonable, the experience is always fantastic, and the staff is always helpful and friendly.

Much better than greedy Bowman’s Inc! You can actually have family fun here without being price gouged. ??Interesting country store with an active bee hive! Goats to pet, apples to pick, a corn maze to solve?? What more could you ask for? Highly recommend ?

Got here Oct. 8th, as we were told on the phone, the trees were already picked over but you can still find some decent apples on the trees but it takes patience. You can buy various apples inside the store as well. Store staff are friendly and helpful.Apple cider doughnuts here are the best I've had this year; still warm, light, crispy exterior with just the correct amount of sugar/cinnamon and soft slightly chewy interior. Yum. Get u some. They were more expensive than a farm near Albany we visited but worth it. $14.95/dozen.They don't make their own cider here, it says Bowman's on the container. Personally I like the cider at Indian Ladder farm the best, fresh, juicy, lightly sweet. Bowmans tends to be too sweet for my taste anyway. Prefer Riverview over nearby orchards which are very crowded and comnercialized.Grandkids had a lot of fun feeding goats sumac leaves still on their branches in the pen behind the store. The free corn maze (free the day we went anyway, I understand they normally charge a small fee) kept them busy for quite a while too. Had a very nice outing here, not overly crowded.Four stars instead of 5 as they don't have their own cider and prices are more here (for items we purchased) than Indian Ladder.

Enjoyed the store. Sweet staff. Nice fall desserts include GF pies and plants. No apples this year for picking. Too late or weather. We will b back

I chaperoned my sons third grade field trip today. The kids had so much fun. They learned how important farms are and how special bees are in helping to grow the food we eat. The goats were adorable and the hey ride to the corn maze was so fun too. The apple cider donuts were the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend 10/10.

The apples are always good but this place's finest attraction is truly hot and fresh cider donuts. Absolutely fantastic. They make them constantly during the weekends and they are glorious. Also they have local huney which is always nice.

Donuts would have been worth the price if they were hot and fresh like they used to be. Such good childhood memories but sadly this place went downhill. And sells Bowmans cider which is severely disappointing.

The orchard and store were solid for the area. Not having to pay an admission fee to pick apples is somehow hard to find now, but this place you only pay for the size bag you would like, so that was much appreciated! The grass was quite high in the orchard and could have used a mowing. The apple crop took a beating this year unfortunately. There were a ton of apples on the trees, but I would say 95% were riddled with brown/black spots. I've lived here since the mid 90s and can't recall seeing an apple crop this damaged. I would recommend scouting out the orchard before buying larger sized bags. Despite the crop situation I would still recommend this farm to others.
