Always make a point of stopping in to this wonderful shoe store in downtown Rhinebeck NY. Wide selection of shoes for men and women with competitive prices and often with a sale. Best of all is the customer service. Welcoming and knowledgeable = sale and they figured out the formula. Ask for Wyett when you visit. He's the best! Enjoy!!

Val and Alanna were incredibly kind and accommodating. They made sure I found exactly what I was looking for, and when the shoe I wanted wasn’t available in my size, Val put a little foam thing in a slightly bigger shoe to make it a perfect fit!

Good shoes are expensive and a little confusing. I went into this store thinking I wanted one thing and the product was wrong for me. The help I got from Annie and Dana was amazing. They were patient, knowledgeable - helpful in every way. I walked out with the perfect product for me at a price that was not inflated. I will return there whenever I need shoes.

We love this shoe store. Annie was so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I bought my first pair of Hokas here and I’m so happy. Annie and John were great to talk to. I’m only here once a year but I will be back. And I’m happy to find out they have sister stores in the area where I live. ?

My adult daughter had been trying to find proper running shoes for weeks. We wandered into the Rhinebeck Pegasus where she was attended to by Wyatt, who was absolutely wonderful! After carefully measuring her feet and listening to her concerns, he worked her through at least a dozen pairs before finding the perfect match. It’s now a week later, and after trying them in all conditions, she completely loves them.Thank you Wyatt for being such an upbeat, insightful and patient salesperson and to Pegasus for carrying such excellent stock!

OMG, cannot say enough good things about both Inca and Joey. I called from hiking trail, crying about my poor feet. Joey, said sure come on in, we can help you. Inca is an expert at finding the perfect boot, as well as sandles. Left with very happy feet!

Annie made this the best shoe buying experience I've ever had. While on vacation in Rhinebeck last week, it became very clear that I was in desperate need of new gym shoes. I stopped into Pegasus Footwear to see what they had. Enter Annie. She listened to exactly what was going on, what I wanted, and my previous experience with gym shoes. She measured my foot, and then brought out 7 or 8 different gym shoes for me to try on. All from different brands, with different features. She made sure each shoe went on properly, explained why each pair was different, and why I was feeling certain things while walking in them. Despite the store being exceptionally busy, I felt like I was the only person there. I appreciate the one-on-one service more than I can express. I wish I lived closer!

My elderly mother and I went to Pegasus Footwear to look for new sandals for her. It's difficult for my mother to find comfortable shoes that are also easy to put on, so she tried on something like 12 pairs! The shop had lots of beautiful, comfortable and orthopaedic shoes, and Alanna was incredibly kind, patient and supportive with us, bringing out one pair after another and giving suggestions. In the end my mother found two wonderful pairs, handmade with soft leather. I will definitely shop here again!

I'm from the area and have shopped here numerous times over the decades. I was looking for a comfortable sneaker/shoe to purchase for my upcoming trip which I'll be doing a lot of walking on. I did research and people also suggested I get Hoka sneakers. After looking for them at a few stores and then not finding them I called Pegasus to see if they carry that brand. They do and I went right there to find a great selection of Hoka sneakers. Wyett, the salesperson, immediate came up to ask if I needed help, which of course I did. First thing he did was actually measure my feet like they did years ago! After trying on numerous Hoka's Wyett took the time to suggest other brands also. I must have tried on a dozen pair. After being in the store for a long time (like an hour or so) it was between a pair of Hoka shoes or a pair of On Cloud shoes. The two other ladies working there also chimed in and were so helpful. Wyett was so professional. He didn't mind running up and down the stairs to get the shoes at all. He was very kind and very helpful in guiding me to get the perfect shoe for me. This is why we SHOP LOCAL folks. Stores like this. The personal attention is what you don't find in big corporate stores. Wyett is a huge asset to Pegasus and I couldn't have found a person with patience, understanding and such professionalism as him. I ended up buying the On Cloud. I'm told that I can try them on in my home for 60 days. If they're not comfortable I can return them in the original box w/original receipt. They also price matched and I saved $20 on my purchase. Bravo Pegasus and Bravo Wyett! Thank You for such a pleasurable shopping experience.

I was lucky to have the help of Kristyn in choosing boots today! I am super indecisive and terrible at knowing which size to choose and she was so helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I wasn't at all rushed (even though I took forever and tried on the same 3 sizes a million times each) and she offered so many helpful ideas to get me into the right size. Thank you Kristyn and Pegasus!

I love the experience of shopping at the Pegasus shoe store in Rhinebeck NY. I went in looking for slippers and left finding the perfect backpack I had been looking forward to with Katie’s totally helpful (but not pushy) support. It made me feel good to get what I needed, support a local store and feel the personal connection that made it fun!!
