I needed my wedding band diamonds tighten and the staff was so friendly. Only took one week to have it re set. They took the time to look at my rings carefully for any other loose settings. Beautiful job! Definitely my go to jewelry store ?

Received the most beautiful necklace from my mother and she couldn't stop raving about her experience with the jewelry store in Rhinebeck! Kelly helped her find the perfect necklace for me and had it sent from the Poughkeepsie store in a timely fashion, wrapped beautifully, and made it a completely stress-free process for her. I'm looking forward to doing some shopping there for the holiday season.

I understand that most people looking to sell their antique diamond jewelry have unrealistic and personal ideas attached to what is valuable. That is why I got my family's platinum diamond wedding set from 1939 assessed by 2 of the best known jewelers from 2 different states before looking to sell. Both jewelers told me I had something unique and not to sell unless it was a good price and I was not attached, so I came in more for information than great expectations on an offer. I didn't expect so low of a jewelry appraisal experience. The older small gentleman who does the appraisal would not even face me and have a discussion. He had the piece brought to him in the back where he did his "appraisal." He came back reluctantly quick wearing no jewelers loupe and no written information to base his price on and whispered something to the young woman who dealt with me. She relayed he thought they were worth a few hundred dollars without store credit, slowly drawing the figure as if it were a sacred object of her profession. I identified myself as the owner and was surprised when HE got testy. The rant began with how only large center stones were "sellable" and how the platinum band is so thin. So thin. He went on pedantically with a snarl about how small the piece was and "how there's hardly anything there" for platinum value, which I brought up. There was no way to even have a conversation, as the man stood across the store, displaying there was no time to face me, their potential customer. It would be an obvious burden for him to take them off my hands. I noticed around the store a very extensive display of small diamond channel jewelry that cost a significant amount of money. Even if I was desperate for $200 or $300, my pride wouldn't be so low as to find their hook and sinker enticing, which they didn't even try to cover up with a grin. Overall, for a first time visit to the store, I was overall impressed by their display of jewelry, but this is a strong sign of a business I want nothing to do with. It's a shame for a longstanding business not to take more pride and professionally in their interactions with potential customers--large or small. There is no reason to shame anyone interested in selling more modest diamond rings, which I am proud to say I was offered $3500 for by the other longstanding jeweler in the area (yes, resale)! Here the jeweler stood with me with his loupe, studied the piece with care, and took a genuine interest in his work. That is what attracts me to a business as a 30 something year old and where I would spend my hard earned money. Passion, respect, and honesty. None of these were present at Zimmermen. Just old, dusty, worn out stories. They might have some good jewelry, but everyone knows jewelry is a personal and relational experience of trust. I would buy the same piece somewhere else any given day. I'm noticing I'm not the only review of this sort.

I've gone to this store in Rhinebeck a few times in the last year, both to purchase jewelry and to buy presents, and to have replacement batteries for watches. The women who work there are very professional and pleasant ... you aren't rushed but if you need help, they are willing to show you pieces that might fit what you are looking for in the price range you request. For an old Timex, they sent my watch off for an estimate for repair, and although it was too expensive to fix, they also had the watch returned so I could have it in case I changed my mind. On my last visit, Annie Antonell was extremely helpful, and I want to specifically thank her for the great service (and conversation).

Having been a faithful customer for over 30 years I will not be back. Being told that my store credit comes off before the sale price is given is not only dishonest it's false advertising. Using very round number I had a $1400 store credit and was looking at a ring for $2000 minus 25%. That to me means the piece of jewelry is $1500 and I use my $1400 credit and add another $100 to it. No They had a form that has them take the list price then subtract the store credit ($2000 -$1400) then take 25% off of that ($150) leaving me with not a bill for $100 but for $350. I later went to another store and spent $1100.

Lovely little store full of beautiful sparkly treasures and surprises! Welcoming and warm atmosphere... and there is a large variety of stunning pieces to look at. During my visits I was working with Annie who was very professional, as well as extremely kind and helpful. Zimmer Brother's is the only jewelry store in the area (beside the other Z.B. store in Poughkeepsie) that offers the exquisite Hearts On Fire collection - I am currently obsessed with. :) What a treat it is to be able to actually see those breathtaking pieces in person and try them on! I visited this beautiful store 2 times already and can't wait to go again! I am very thankful for this wonderful shopping experience and am looking forward to buying more gorgeous pieces as soon as possible..hopefully very soon!
