“I live in the area and own a 2008 BMW 5 Series. As one could imagine, that requires an auto shop on speed dial. While the car is mechanically sound, there are constantly small things that need to be addressed (headlight out, drain clogged, wire needs replacing, brake discs, alignment, inspection, etc.). Anthony and his team have been there to handle all the small things as well as a few more major repairs like a valve cover replacement, and everything else that comes with an aging BMW. It's been almost half a decade that ZA & D. have been working with me to maintain this vehicle and I've always found them honest, competent, and transparent. I've lived in NYC over 16 years (coincidentally, about the same age as the car) and I've only felt compelled to write a review for one or two other businesses that have stood out to me as exceptional. “Frank of Astoria Auto Repair is truly the best - he went to small claims court with me a decade ago and helped me win against a used car dealership. I bought a new car in 2015 so we didn't see each other for a long time. This year, my car has been having troubles- I've taken it to the service center twice and each time they tell me nothing is wrong with it. I replaced the battery myself. Finally, this week, it's straight up would not start, so I called Frank. Every year around beginning of the summer I had to recharge my AC because it was not cooling. After the recharge at Bronx Auto Repair Corp my AC is so cold to the point I have to turn it off. They told me that they did not see any leaks and that the place that I was going to recharge my ac was doing it incorrectly.”
