“Some of the best service you'll ever get. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Attentive and will answer any questions you have. Extremely patient as well. Service with a smile is what the staff there is all about. I actually told the gentleman behind the counter how friendly they were compared to Mastic Beach. He said he hears it all the time. “Post offices in New York have a reputation for being chaotic, understaffed, and frustrating -- and honestly, that reputation is often earned. This one is a different experience. The Mount Sinai USPS branch is calm, organized, and staffed by people who are actually respectful and willing to help you figure out what you need. The full range of standard postal services is covered -- Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, certified mail, money orders, stamps, packaging supplies, and passport services -- and the layout makes it easy to navigate without feeling overwhelmed. Wait times are manageable and the pace of the operation does not feel rushed or chaotic. Parking is available on site, which removes one of the usual headaches of a postal errand entirely. By any reasonable standard for a government postal facility in New York State, this branch is doing things right. Nothing flashy, nothing extraordinary -- just a post office that works the way a post office should. That is more than enough to earn a recommendation.”
“They have very nice staff. When I go it doesn’t take very long at all I am in an out within 2 minutes. The ladies that work there are so nice and helpful. They answered my questions and got me in and out even with a line very quickly but I didn’t feel rushed.”
“Every time I go in there they workers are having a party, swinging from the lamps, dancing, blaring the music, drinking cocktails. I think I smell weed sometimes too. I usually hang out for a couple of songs and then leave buzzed, I usually forget to mail my letters LOL. Did anyone ever play that game with with the postage scale they are always playing? SO FUN!”

“Showed up for our 2 passport appointments late morning. Sharon helped us and was grace under fire as she was the only one working and the line started to grow. She went above and beyond by tracking me down by phone bc I left a paper at the window. It cant be easy if youre an employee there while our government continues to hollow out the middle of the post office - slowly creeping toward privatization.”

“Post office in Coram is a great post office. I have a PO box , at a different post office in Suffolk county, and my mail was sent to Coram by mistake. I went to the Coram post office today, and i picked up the mail , no problem. Plenty of parking outside too”

“Had a really positive experience at USPS Medford. The customer service here is honestly some of the best I’ve seen—staff are always friendly, patient, and very attentive. They take the time to help, answer questions, and make sure everything is handled properly, which makes a big difference.
Even when it gets busy, the team stays professional and keeps things moving smoothly. It’s clear they care about helping people and doing their job well.
The only thing I’d mention is that the building itself feels a bit outdated and could really benefit from a renovation. A more modern and refreshed space would make the experience even better.

“I don’t think it’s fair that no one has ever taken the time to review the counter service at our local Post Office. I am there on a regular basis, as I run on online yarn business. I am always met with polite, professional, service! Even during the stressful holiday period. We live in a time when everyone is quick to complain. I want the Post Master to know that I never see sending my packages as a chore, and that’s because of the staff working there. Kudos??!”
