Every time I visit this place the loss prevention guy is always following me and they are always calling security on me.
I come here all the time and never steal anything, I don’t know why they are treating me like a criminal.

Both times I have been here I have appreciated the pleasant attitude of the pharmacists in spite of how busy the pharmacy is. The line is was long. I do really wish the line did not go through the cold and cough aisle. That means the customers who are most likely to be contagious walk through a small area packed with people, some of whom are elderly or immunocompromised.

The pharmacist here refused to administer me a second dose of Shingrix. He claimed Shingrix is not approved or allowed for people under 50, even though I am immunocompromised, was asked to get this vaccine by my doctor, and got my first dose here already. He said he didn’t know why the other pharmacist had administered me the first dose and that they shouldn’t have done so. When I mentioned that my rheumatologist asked me to get this vaccine, he claimed, “doctors often don’t know what they’re talking about when it comes to vaccines.”
The CDC guidance states that the CDC recommends 2 doses of Shringrix for adults aged ≥19 years who are or will be immunodeficient or immunosuppressed. This guy doesn’t know his stuff and now I have to go to the trouble of finding another vax appointment unnecessarily because he had the wrong info and wasted my time.

This location will close by 10 pm and not at 11pm. Also the pharmacy is closed daily by 8pm

Six+ people work at the pharmacy but they all take lunch at once. Maybe not the most efficient for business. The pharmacy’s lunch hours are not posted anywhere yet they close the gate at whatever time they wish to all take lunch at once. Doesn’t matter if there is a line. This needs to be clearly communicated.

Not one to post negative reviews on pharmacies as they're crucial to the neighborhood.
I was at this location last night and experienced discrimination. Both store managers followed me to the candy isle and watched me. I went up to one of them and asked for the price on an item and told them that it's not nice to watch people as they shop. He proceeded to respond if that's what I thought he was doing? It's not what I thought sir, it's what you were actually doing. Once I said this, they both disappeared. Will not be returning👎🏾

There is no way to call the pharmacist and speak to a human being. Nothing worse than being sick and having an issue with a prescription and being stuck in AI limbo.

I arrived 10 minutes before closing and had a medical emergency that required me to buy a specific drugstore product and they refused to let me in. Everyone working the evening shift on Thursday 6/27 should be fired.

I switched to this pharmacy and their generic version of my medication gave me a bad reaction. My doctor immediately prescribed the brand name, and the pharmacy did not fill it because I had just picked up the generic form of the medication a few days earlier. When I called them to discuss, I learned there was no way to reach a pharmacist on the phone. You can only leave a message, which I did detailing my issues with the generic form of the medication. I asked whether I could pay out of pocket for a few days of the brand name prescription in the message, to last me until my insurance would authorize the refill.
I got a text a few hours later letting me know my prescription had been filled. When I went to pick it up, they had prepared a full months’ worth of the same generic that had given me a bad reaction. They ignored my doctor’s instructions, and my request. If I had been able to speak to a pharmacist, I would not have wasted days of my time without a very necessary medication. I do not trust CVS with my medical care any longer. Their pharmacy has caused me to be without my appropriate meds for over 3 weeks now. This is a horrible pharmacy with customer service and pharmacists that do not listen to you or your doctors. I wish I had never tried them, and I regret trying to work with them when they did not provide appropriate service.

I'm giving this place 5 stars on a huge curve.
If I were to deduct, it would be based on store layout as the bottle neck is actually the checkout line; on the other hand, the way they have the store layout shows they have A LOT of product variety. This comes at a time where most stores would probably be understocked due to certain "issues".
The times I've been here they seem to have other staff working what I believe are sales. Not that it's an issue, but for me the ease of in/out was acceptable.
Specifically I came here to get meds for my fam.
The pharmacy department staff are friendly and excellent and that's what matters for me. Sorry, I know I got the name wrong, If I see him again I'll correct (Bastovy) who took care of the prescription for me was great at assuring me stock of meds would be ready next day. Very professional and respectful.
They work reasonably fast and calling them up actually goes through. I called them up and was able to confirm and pickup with ease.
I would say this specific CVS is tie for first and second of the CVS that I visit frequently.
Better than *all* the CVS in Manhattan 100%.
