My laptop is getting tired. During an auto-update, my computer locked up and I couldn't fix it. I took it to Geek Squad and the didn't promise me anything. I had to purchase a thumb drive, so that they could try to retrieve the files on the event that it was dead. It took a week, but they called today and told me it was up and running! It's not going to last long, but they got my files for me. I am so grateful for these Geeks!

Worst retail experience ever. On July 3rd, I bought a Spotify gift card for the $99 annual membership. I gave it to my daughter the minute I arrived home. She tried numerous times to activate it and every time, she got the message that said, "This code is invalid." I tried it as well, and still no luck with the activation. I immediately called the Riverhead store and was told by an employee to come in and they will give me a new card. So it began my 1 hour of the frustrated experience with the "so called" managers that were too busy hanging out by the front of the store on their phones, to truly be in service to a customer. It was less than one hour since I purchased the card. The first "manager" was JP (I believe) and he told me that isn't store policy and I had to call Spotify. I told him that I was told to come back for a new card and drove 35 minutes to get back there. I shared my frustration that no one told me when I purchased it that store policy is that I can't return it (that should be shared every time by an associate). I tried Spotify while I was there on chat and kept getting disconnected. I then looked for a customer service number and there is none available. When I asked for JP again, I was told he left and I was left with Anthony to service me. This kid should not be running a store. He is insensitive and rude and basically told me that he couldn't do anything. I told him between my boyfriend and I, we spent $1000 that day and the least he could do is see if there's a way to resolve this. He gave me no offer to call corporate or to resolve my issue or help in any way. Instead, he looked annoyed that I was bothering his time on his phone. It's now going on 3 days and still no resolve either from Best Buy or Spotify. Best Buy in Riverhead lost yet another customer. Buy your products and gift cards elsewhere.

Had a great experience at Best Buy Riverhead due to JP who could not have been more helpful. JP is knowledgeable and so easy to work with. He answered all my questions, facilitated my purchase and made the entire experience a pleasure. I will happily visit Best Buy Riverhead again thanks to JP.

Selection is great. Sales people are as shady as a used car salesmen. As a matter of fact the same tactics are used. Okay let me get a manager to get you the best price possible! Now I'm going to promise you the moon but when push comes to shove you get a raw deal. The delivery people even are shady and LAZY. We didn't even get the product off of the truck. They explained that it was impossible to get it up the stairs. BUT WAIT The salesman called back and explained that another mattress would be delivered and that he will give us another $350 off the price. What a joke. They delivered the mattress without concern. Got it up the stairs BUT THEN SAID THEY DONT INSTALL. Oh my God. I can go on. Still waiting for refunds and promises to be kept It ain't gonna happen. Don't buy. ANYTHING FROM THIS SHADY PLACE. Go to Home Depot. Go to Best Buy. Don't go here. Please. Save yourself the aggravation.

What a scam....we are having issues with our computer and called best buy to see if we could get an appointment and if there was a fee. We were told there is no fee for diagnostics, so we made the appointment. We arrived to our appointment, and were told, without anyone looking at our computer, that it would be $150. When i told the peraon at the counter, we were under the impression, there would be no charge......he replied we must have spoken to someone feom.another country. WHAT?! nice to know best buy draws you in with a no charge diagnostic then drops the $150 fee on you......were.going to microcenter, an actual computer store.......with diagnostics foruch less

I purchased an open box Sony Bravia 65" excellent condition supposedly with all accessories and was verified by it's totaltech support team that it should be. But when I ask for the missing accessories no one is willing to give you proper answer and just told me that it's an open box it is what it is. And when I went back the following morning the Manager was sarcastic and the other staff just told me just return the item. Most of the staff I dealt with in Riverhead Best Buy are rude, unwilling to help and just doing their job with out any customer rapport. Best Buy Riverhead customer service is unsatisfactory and abysmal.

Went to buy a new TV and a refrigerator. The two boys at the front end were rude and unhelpful and there was nobody in the TV area to answer any questions. Finally got some help, purchased a TV that was delivered yesterday. Set it up. It's defective. Trying to speak to someone. On hold for more than half an hour. Just terrible.

After purchasing a Netgear WiFi base at the Riverhead Best Buy,reception was not good in other rooms in the house. Tried calling, left on hold for close to 15 minutes and then disconnected. Finally had to drive to Riverhead store, told my problem to a staff member and he recommended a Netgear Booster for $100. Brought it home and was not improving signal at all. In fact it was even worse. Again, tried callin, left on hold over 15 minutes and then disconnected. Had to plan another trip to Riverhead and when finally I had a chance, was told that the staff member had me purchased the wrong item. Wanted to return it but was told it was over 14 days and couldn't get refund even though Best Buy had me buy the wrong item and couldn't make an exchange because no booster item would help my issue. Do yourself a favor and do not do business with this company. Bad tech advice, bad return policy, bad business in general. I guess I'm out $100. Jim Balzaretti

This Best Buy is a hit or miss. Staff is not helpful when busy, covid has made it worse since now you have to wait in a virtual line that the worker in the front puts you on...yea this is a horrible system since it ends up in more people in the store waiting for a case to be opened so they can just buy something. Really understaffed and workers have a "thats not my job attitude". But still if you go before the evening rush you should have a better experience.

The staff was helpful and friendly. Everyone wearing masks. Hand sanitizer available at checkout counter. Store is clean. Only open 11am till 7pm. Unfortunately, it looks like they're having a going out of business sale. So many empty shelves. Needed 3 memory cards. They only had 2. Everything: returns, purchases, in store pick up is handled via one line at the customer service desk. Seems like a lot of wasted space. Can't imagine what they're paying in rent for such a large store with minimal inventory Corporate America at its worse. Looks like they're setting up the store for failure then close and blame the community for lack of support. Who suffers? The loyal employee. Sad. It was always a dependable store with ample choice of merchandise.

If you are thinking about ordering something from Riverhead Best Buy, DON'T!! They are impossible to get on the phone with. They will tell you your wait time is under 3 minutes and never pick up the phone. I ordered a laptop from them and they told me it would be here a certain Saturday so I drove to Best Buy to pick it up for them to tell me it was delayed, no email or text saying it was delayed, just wasted my time. They told me to call the following Monday and I can not get in touch with someone on the phone. Extremely frustrating, I will never be ordering from them again.

If I could give negative stars, I would. Don't bother calling them. After 18 min of being put on hold. They "dropped" my call trying to transfer me. I tried calling back the 2nd time and same wait time and drop. Poor customer service. Go somehow else.

The worst! I was sold a laptop that was supposed to be a touch screen and it wasn't. I asked for a label to return it and they said no. I have a broken tibia and explained I can't drive and they just told me tough darts. I will never buy anything from them again.
