If you are local , this is the closest place to go for vinyl in Riverhead , I sometimes wish it was open daily. While mostly a rock selection , I've found some great records here, rock , soul, jazz, reggae, etc even some nostalgic Hip Hop singles, the prices are decent. There are also some real finds to find below the main records that havnt been priced yet, and the owner usually doesn't mind if you go through them. Cool place for the town

Great place, the owner is a really nice guy, and very knowledgeable, I highly recommend going there and spending time flipping through every record, you never know what your goingbto find, I would also highly recommend taking any old records there the have washed, he does a phenomenal job and puts the effort in, and is honest as far as if a record is worth cleaning, he's in it for the joy of records and the music, honesty goes along way in my book,

Very cool little shop. It’s a labor of love for the owner (and it shows), thus the limited hours. He’s a really nice guy who’s happy to help. Worth a visit!

With an unique and innovative arrangement, meticulous attention to detail, excellent selection, and reasonable prices, Sunday Records is easily one of the finest record stores on Long Island - and my personal favorite. The owner is friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Always a great record buying experience at Sunday Records.

Most friendly owner of any record store I have been to. He has lots of great recommendations and is happy to talk shop as well. Also, the store has a wide variety of music at good prices. Thanks for giving me a great experience on every visit!

This hidden gem sits just north of Main St in Riverhead, and if you happen to have a few hours free on a Sunday, stop on in and flip through the bins! The friendly curator is knowledgeable and chatty, and we have had many discussions about bands and music and tours. Brian is a walking inventory, able to tell you FROM MEMORY if he has something in stock. Go check out Sunday Records, it's worth the trip.

My son and I visit Sunday Records regularly and almost always find some wonderful music to bring home. Over the last year or so, we’ve found everything from early Elvis and Pink Floyd through Pablo Casals, Dave Brubeck, and Edith Piaf, all immaculately clean, in fine condition, and very fairly priced. Brian is knowledgeable, friendly, and has helped us find whatever we’re looking for on more than one occasion. I recommend a visit to Sunday Records without reservation. You won’t regret it and your life’s soundtrack will be better for it.

Sunday Records is my “Local Record Shop” for a few years now.The owner is a great guy. On more than one occasion when I walk through the door Sunday morning I am greeted with a smile and a kind word, usually followed by “oh good your here, I got something I think you will like” and 9 out of 10 times he is spot on.That last sentence is key, he knows me and my taste, and that is what I’m looking for in a record store. There is a great collection of older used records and a sizable amount of new releases.Keep in mind that this store is a truly independent shop, so you will not find Record Store Day participation, and for me that’s just fine because I feel RSD has lost its way long ago.Sunday Records is a great store with a ever growing collection of great music run by a friendly proprietor who has a vast knowledge of all kinds of music.-P

I live locally and stop into Sunday Records at least once a month. I've been collecting records for 40 years and have traveled extensively to visit different record stores. This shop is a real gem and I'm glad that I am able to visit it so often. I honestly have nothing negative to say. There is a great selection across all genres and they are all organized so that you can actually find what you are looking for very easily. The prices are very fair and are listed on each item. The listening station is great to sample each record before purchase. The owner is very helpful and always has intriguing titles playing in the shop. If you are into vinyl dont miss it!

Would have to agree with Cara further below in the reviews. The owner is rude and doesn’t want to help anyone with anything. Kind of crazy to be condescending to paying customers. Doesn’t price anything. Annoyed with answering anything. All in all, interesting behavior for someone who’s only open 4 days a month. Keep driving. Nothing to see here.
