My son and I have only recently lived here, but we have already managed to feel all the advantages of these apartments. The neighbors are friendly, the management responds very quickly to requests for help. The apartment is sunny and warm. The area is very well-groomed and clean, near the house there are shops, a pharmacy, a cafe and everything you need for comfort. I like the East Avenue area.

We had a fantastic experience with 1600 East Ave. The leasing office was always helpful and responsive, and the on-site maintenance staff was very convenient. The parking lot was always clear of snow during the winter, and everyone in the community is super friendly. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Been living here for about 4 months and I love it so far! The concierge staff are wonderful and friendly and there is a true community feel, with residents of all ages and demographics. My unit was renovated prior to moving in and was clean. There is a ton of bright light from the very large windows in every unit. The grounds are kept pristine and manicured (trees, flowers, mulch) and the building is very well cared for. The lower amenity level is maintained well, but the decor is slightly dated. However, that does not take away from all the benefits, from the building to the location. There are grills, patios, indoor plant garden, fitness center, lounge area, clean laundry facility. The walls, floors and ceiling are solid and I have very little noise from adjoining units comes through. There is also a community room and kitchen which residents can reserve for free, though I have not used them yet. I also feel safe leaving my car parked in the parking lot and walking around the area on foot (tons of walkable shops, restaurants and bars). The office manager was also great in communicating with me during the touring stage and throughout the subsequent move in process. Maintenance is also quick to respond to any of the minor concerns I have had. Having all the utilities included is great because I know exactly what I’m paying every month for rent, regardless of heat, AC, electric usage. I highly recommend 1600 East Ave Apartments.

My mother moved into a studio apartment about four months ago. The whole experience has been wonderful. All the staff are very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The apartment itself is in excellent condition. My mother pays a little extra to have a spot in the parking garage, where she also has a small storage locker. The building has all sorts of great amenities, like a small library, a "party area" that you can reserve to invite over your friends and relatives, a modern laundry room, a common area where you can sit and have a cup of coffee (or work on a jigsaw puzzle), and an enclosed garden room with exotic plants. And every Thursday, there are free movies and popcorn. My mother loves it at 1600 East Avenue. Highly recommended!

My husband and I have lived here for two years. Stephanie has been absolutely incredible, she is always so quick to remedy any problems and very easy to communicate with. This has been the best complex I've ever had the privilege to stay at, and look forward to living here as long as I can!

Lived here for a brief time period, but the experience was excellent. Stephanie in the leasing office was incredibly accommodating. Nice quiet community and quick service on maintenance requests. If I didn't need relocate for a job, I would've loved to live here longer.

I highly recommend the 2nd listed review by James. It lists details that are important and which math-types like me would not think of.I'll add the fact that the office staff Stephanie and Anna are gems. They couldn't have been more kind and helpful when I needed it.Great place, great location, great amenities, great price, great people.

My husband and I love living here! The building is vintage, but very beautiful and clean, the staff is very very friendly, the amenities are the best, and the apartment is very spacious and cute. We live in a studio but hope to move to the 1 bedroom soon!

Lived here for almost four years, had the best experience. The management team is super organized, efficient, and really care about their residents. Neighbors are nice and this place really felt like a close-knit community.

I’m giving this complex five stars out of respect that I’m a tenant but just want want to let everyone know YES it’s a beautiful location and building BUT every day that you walk through the building you get smacked with the hard realization that this place is a nursing home. It’s FILLED with angry very old people, literally filled. And yes, they will all give you attitude as if your in THEIR home.

Been living at 1600 East Ave for 6 months now. My apartment hunt in Rochester was long and thorough before moving into the city, and based a lot on Google reviews since I did not know the city at all. I cannot say how happy I am that I chose this place!I love everything about the building- I have a spacious apartment with a beautiful view, parking, and more amenities in the building than I could ever have imagined possible (pool table, board games, mini library, indoor garden, gym, etc.). On top of that, the 1600 East Ave community is great- popcorn and movies in the movie room twice a week anyone?Location is ideal- close to Wegmans, liquor store, gas station, restaurants, and just far enough from downtown that it is more peaceful. Do yourself a favor and try this place- you may not want to leave.
