Iv Been going to Austin Spencer for over 20 years now, they do alot more than collision, they have helped me build several custom cars. The owner is always on site and available to talk. Last week I dropped off my Mercedes g wagon and explained I was in a bind as I needed the car for a prom… I dropped it off Monday afternoon and picked it up Friday from having paint work ! Their work isn’t always that quick, but it’s always quality at a manageable price
Would recommend to anyone looking to have custom work done on their build as they allow the customer to be involved in the process

I had had Austin-Spencer do work for me probably 15 or 20 years ago and was very happy with the service I received, so when a guy ran a red light and messed up my front bumper while I was out of state on vacation (and I also needed the new-to-me vehicle rustproofed), I made an appointment to have Austin-Spencer do the repairs for me again. That was on 11/10/2022; the price was a bit on the high side, but I figured if the work was done well, it would be worth it. I called at the end of December, as I had heard not a peep from them. The receptionist was pleasant and thanked me for reaching out, as otherwise they would have been the proud owners of a 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan front bumper! They scheduled the work to be completed on 01/12/2023; I dropped the vehicle off at 10:00 a.m., and they told me they'd need to keep it overnight. Fine. I didn't get it to them when they opened at 8:00 a.m., and they gave me a loaner, so not a huge problem. When I dropped it off, I asked the office manager to list everything that they were supposed to do, and the list included everything I'd asked for: replace front driver's side headlight assembly, as the seal was broken; replace rear passenger's side taillight assembly; replace entire front bumper; buff out foot-long scratch on the passenger side slider (they promised not to charge me for this; I was surprised, because while the scratch was not down to the metal and there was no visible dent, it was deep enough that my fingernail caught on it; I had thought it would need touch-up paint). And they were to do undercoating and rust-proofing (for $380, no less--another repair shop quoted around $200 for the same job!). I finally called them at 4:00 p.m. on 1/13/2023 to get a status on my vehicle, and they said I could come pick it up. When I got there, the owner (I think) told me it would cost a little more than the estimate. The "little more" was $176+ more! That may be chump change for some but for two senior citizens, it's not! (Oh, and did I mention one of the reasons for the increase in cost was that the parts had gone up in price since I was given the quote TWO months earlier? Had they ordered the parts then, there would not have been a significant price jump, I have to believe.) And when I got home and looked at it, the scratch is still on the passenger's side sliding door. Needless to say, I will not recommend this company to anyone, nor will I be back.Services: Auto body & trim replacement
