I mean let's face it- this place is amazing and has one of the last publicly accessible groups of professionals/experts; plus are all reliable. Also, many great tested products, EPIC hardware section, and who else does full faucet internal component repairs/retro-fit/new-fit (?) Not many.

They have been able to make keys for me that the box stores cannot. They offer service that the box stores do not.

I called blacks in need of a separate hot and cold shower faucet, only to be told that I couldn't see what they have ,but that I have to bring in the d one. Which if I did and they didn't have it now I wouldn't have any faucet. Bad service

Lost a key for my 1951 MG sportscar, and the one I have is for an aftermarket ignition. No one else could match it, but one of the Blacks, a former owner, recommended I try them. Sure glad I did. The gentleman at the counter looked hard to find a similar blank & made me a new key to try, for less than $5. It works! What a great place! - Don from Holley

I will always recommend Black’s Hardware because they know the value of customers, I had gotten a sidewinder key cut for my Buick a few weeks ago because they have the best price in town, I noticed the fob got scratched and when I confronted the clerk I wasn’t pleased with the response so I decided never to to patronize them again. But to my surprise, I decided after checking around they were still the best option, I went back. I sat in the parking lot contemplating if I really wanted to, I went in and made my re request for another fob the manager remembered me, he spoke the person servicing me and he made my key, perfect, when I got ready to pay the small price of $25, he refused to take my money because they believe in taking care of customers and correcting any mistakes, thanks again Black’sFitzroy

I found them to be very friendly and helpful. I came in to ask what to use to repair a wooden cross and a nice employee helped to point me in the right direction as to what glue to use....I didn't know some expand. Glad he was there to provide this information.This is definitely a hidden treasure and I will be back.

Had a plumbing project on a house from 1924. On my 2 trips, and a phone call I interacted with the owner and a person with plumbing experience. They walked me through removal from a picture on my phone and when I was given the wrong cartridge when 2 sets are seemingly identical while installed, they quickly swapped both the visible one and the one farther back in I would need when I got to it. Couldn't have done it without them.

Been trying to fix my shower for a while now using "universal" parts from big box stores with no success. Went to Blacks and not only did they have the parts I need but they had a rebuild kit that had the parts plus more which saved me a lot of money. Shower works great niw

Always a great place to shop with a good selection of products. Employees are very knowledgeable and helpful. I've been shopping there for 40 years and they still have the atmosphere and service that are reminiscent of a neighborhood hardware store. I was recently there to have a screen repaired. Very reasonable prices

Very nice store, with a good selection of tools and parts. All of the employees are kind and glad to answer any question you might have, not to mention the really good prices. As the white guy behind the building I can proudly say this is my favorite hardware store in the area.
