Worst experience ever here today. The girl with the gap between her front teeth who was working behind the online order pickup desk was absolutely beyond unhelpful and could not communicate effectively WHATSOEVER for an issue that was so simple I could have been in and out within 45 seconds. The manager was even less helpful, and seemingly had even less ability to comprehend the issue than her associate. Very frustrating experience, train your staff and managers better. And to the manager, copping an attitude with your customers for trying to explain their issue when you are the one with comprehension issues isn't the best way to do things either…

DSW has been my go-to for footwear and accessories (scarves, hats, hosiery, etc.) for many years. The store also offers rewards for donating gently worn shoes.

I purchased shoes online at DSW to pick up in the Walden Galleria store. They gave me the wrong size this was a Christmas present. I didn’t realize it until Christmas Eve when I was wrapping it up for my husband. The website said that they had the shoes in the Henrietta location so I placed an order at noon two hours later it wasn’t available to be picked up. I understand it’s busy but I was getting nervous so I called the store to ask them if they could look and see if they were on the shelf before I drove an hour to the Henrietta store, since I live quite far away. The associate at the front desk refused to go look for me, and said my order would be filled when it’s filled, and it might not be done before they closed at five. I asked to speak to the store manager she said the same thing, and refused to go look because they were shortstaffed. She said they only had three people working. I tried to explain that her other store made a mistake and I was just looking for them to assist me in correcting their error so that I could ensure my husband had the gift that I ordered several days ago. Even with this information she was unwilling to help me. I decided to just head to Henrietta anyway, because this was really important for me to have for him since his other gift was also delayed from another retailer. On my way there I noticed they canceled my order. I got to DSW I went to the shelf which was not that far from the register, the manager had stated they couldn’t look because she only had three people and she didn’t have the staff to go look. There were more thank 3 people working. They had my shoes. I purchased them. There were 2 people standing behind the register chatting away. The manager standing at the front of the store, and other cashier were standing there without a customer. I still can’t understand how they couldn’t find five seconds to try to help me out on something as important as a Christmas gift. Every other store that carry’s these shoes was more than happy to look for me. On top of not being willing to help they also cancelled my order because they didn’t like that I pushed back when they refused to help. Again important Christmas gift. Very unhelpful and u unprofessional.

Went to get winter boots, they have a good collection but unfortunately in this store particularly the person who was on the sales counter was a bit temporamental, she was a bit reluctant and impatient when I was trying to tell her about my VIP membership. I never asked to become one but when I was offered I was okay with that but there are glitches in their system and how do they keep the contact details were very unclear. She made me feel so uncomfortable and stressed because as an Indian my accent is different and it was hard for her to understand the letter “B” When she told me, I was not an English-speaking person, this was very rude and unappreciated to remark on this. It's unethical for a person who lives in an English-speaking country to think down on people who are not from English-speaking country. I would like DSW to reconsider such personalities and give them positions according to where they only have to come across well-spoken English-speaking people. So she didn't feel so irritated!!

When I was checking out, they asked me if I found everything well and I responded, “no I couldn’t find a certain size for some shoes” and the cashier with the red hair ignored my question and didn’t say anything else after that. What’s the point of asking someone if they found everything well, if you don’t really care and want to help. Everyone at the store is very rude and on their phones scrolling on social media.

I stopped into this store on the way home from work to pick up an online order and got sidetracked by some cute Converse. When the retail associate told me that they didn't have my size in stock, I should have took it as a sign to turn around and go home.I approached the counter and asked the associate if I could place an order for my size and pick it up in store. She said ok. After confirming my email and shipping address information (which I told her was incorrect and did not want my package shipped to) she placed my order for 'ship to store'. Turns out, people can't actually multitask (its true folks).In the middle of placing my order, she was eating candy and discussing how she loved playing on her school sports team to her new coworker who was shadowing her. Then she had to ask her manager what the suite number to the store was in the middle of that chaos which probably should have been a red flag. I got the shipping notification today. Guess where its shipping. My old address.I called customer service who tells me I have to contact the shipping company. Ontrac. So I call and they are closed.Of course. Even better, I go to the FAQs listed on the website. In order to change my shipping address for the package that's already in transit, the retailer has to contact them directly. Not the customer.You see where this is going? Yeah me too. I'll stick to online shopping, because in store is disappointing.Cross your fingers and hope I can get my address changed people.Otherwise, I wont be back.

The people who work in this store do not know policy, are rude and don't understand that a negative experience will spread faster then a good review. Don't shop here, go to the Victor store they know what they are doing!

Giving 5 stars ALL for Jet.You’re other workers on the other hand need some work…I came here to get my son a pair of sneakers, the shoe I had picked out had one pair left in his size but one of the shoes in the box was missing, I checked the display shoe to make sure that it wasn’t the one missing and decided I would just go to the counter and ask (not knowing if they maybe keep them in the back like Shoe Dept. does or what) when I got to the counter I told the lady (I believe her name was Jaclyn or Jackie?) that the one of the shoes in the box wasn’t in there and she just looked at me and said “well I don’t know what to tell you” very rudely. I asked if they had the other pair possibly in the back and she told me no, that either someone took it or possibly took the shoe off and left it somewhere else around the store. Never offered to have another worker on the floor look or anything, she just said “well would you like to go check if you can find it anywhere yourself?”. I said sure and continued to go back to the kids shoes and was debating on getting another pair instead, but I ended up just saying forget it and I was just going to leave because I was so disgusted by the cashier that I just didn’t even want to go back up and deal with her unpleasant attitude. As I was walking out, one of the workers on the floor asked if I needed help with anything, so I explained the situation with the shoes I wanted and how it was missing and I couldn’t find the match, she proceeded to stop what she was in the middle of to help me look through all the boxes nearby for the match and even offered to have it ordered from the Victor location if they had them In stock there, if we couldn’t end up finding the match anywhere. She ended up finding the match down in the clearance section of the store… I’m so thankful that she was so kind enough to look around the store for the match and stopped what she was doing to help me. My little 19 month old loved her and she totally changed my mood after my experience with the front end staff. Her name was Jet!! When I checked out thankfully there was another cashier working so I was able to completely bypass the other lady, this cashier was much more pleasant and sweet, her name was Connie.DSW you should really get more workers like jet because I guarantee you, your customers would have a much better experience, she truly was such an angel!

Pretty disorganized in the children's shoe area, but the cashier was incredibly sweet and the other lady was helpful and friendly

Customer service has been terrible the last few months. Today I waited in line with no one ahead of me while 3 employees stood around talking about food until one of them pointed out I was waiting. Employees will make you feel like you're being a bother when all your trying to do is check out

Not the best not the worst. Managers are always in and out of here but the one person I always love to see working is Jessica. She is usually at the register but I have also seen her around the store. So sweet and helpful and it makes my day anytime I see her in there.

Some of the full-price footware is expensive, but one can find a good bargain in the back discount area sometimes. Happy hunting (back there)!

Wow, what happened to DSW? This place is trashed. I counted six employees all standing around doing nothing. No one even approached me and asked me if I needed any help. DSW has went downhill.
