there was no one at the desk both times I had to go into the store leaving no one in the store at all to assist. the car smelled like cigs and perfume when I picked it up and it was awful. not very good customer service, I would not have used them if my insurance didn't pick them after my accident

I recently rented from the Gates Hertz for 11 days.Rick was helpful in getting a minivan I was promised even though it was not what was in his computer. BUT, was treated rudely and lied to after forgetting my garage door opener in rental. Nick said they would check the car then when I came to get my opener the car was rented out and gone, an hour later! Basically, said they never found it and I must have forgotten where I put it!

Customer service is the worst, the lie and say no reservations were made. How could that be when the dealership made the reservation and Hertz picked me up. The lady was terribly rude and acted like she did not know what she needed to do. She refused to take me back to the dealership. And after receiving my license and credit card she kept asking me my name, even though she had my information. Such a waste of time. No one informed me of a $50 deposit until after my credit card was scanned. Do yourself a favor don't do business with these people. If I could I would give them a ZERO

Absolutley horrible. I left my wallet in glove box and we called and they said they didnt find. So we went down to the location and the guy said he rented it out already and they did look. Well good thing we looked 1 more time, found the vehichle and found my wallet. So blessed for that but they could have care less and didnt help ar all. Just lied to us.

Joke for service. Had reservation for car and arrived on time. OOOOPs Car was not registered and no car was available to rent. Had to wait nearly 30 minutes for the guys to figure out SCREW UP by Hertz and boys at local office. Finally they released the vehicle. They would not compensate me for wait and violated the agreement for picking up on time. HORRIBLE SERVICE AS USUAL AT ELMGROVE AND MANAGER/HERTZ NEVER ACTS???? Do not use local service unless great price or you want a migraine.

Both cars were in long term repair shop. We never rented a car before. We were treated by Austin with respect, courtesy and efficiency. A great location and and a smooth experience.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Stuff very rude. They gave us a wrong car and last minute said we don't have another car. Very upset. I don't recommend hertz. Keep away from this company
