I first have to start this review off by saying that my Grandpa, Father and I have done lots of business with this location over the past 10 years and we have always been happy with the customer care until just the other day. I saw there was an online only sale for 30% in which I wanted to utilize this to purchase a sport coat I had seen in stock just last week. Online it says that there was nothing available for pick up in store although the jacket was indeed in stock at the store. I would have had it shipped but I am heading out of town and would not want a nice quality coat sitting outdoors until I got back. I went to the store to see how this could be resolved and If by chance they would give me the online price instore or possibly adjust their inventory so that the online inventory would be reflected properly. When I was in the store there were two employees, myself and my girlfriend in the building. I was not greeted or acknowledged at all. As I was browsing the store one of the employee left the building and started working on his car headlights just outside of the store. I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes and was not helped until I alerted the second employee who was on his phone not paying attention. I spoke to him about my situation and he showed no signs of wanting to help me or give me any kind of resolution. I asked for his manager but the manager was not there. I left my phone number with him and was told the manager would call me the next day. 4 days later and I have not received a call. My family and I will not be going back to Joseph Banks as the customer service quality was very low for a "high-end" clothes store. this is very upsetting to a long time customer.

So disappointed. Great experience here 2 years ago when shopped while visiting area. Just left store and could not be more disappointed. Employee minimally assisted in point to pants. No offer to help find sizes. He was more interested in talking to woman who seemed like alterations person and the 2 women who seemed like employees mom and maybe sister. Felt like we were interrupting. Walked out. Anticipated spending fair amount but not here. Sad.

Like another reviewer, I was a little skeptical based on older reviews. They must be under new management as the store is nothing like what the old reviews describe. Greeted with courtesy the moment I walked in and the staff was extremely helpful in getting me suited. Service was excellent and attentive. My experience couldn't have been smoother.

I visited the Rochester store to rent a tux for an out of town black tie wedding. It was delivered early, which was great, but when I tried it on at pickup, the tux components were the incorrect size and shabby with threadbare shoulders and incomplete hemming.I was then assured that the correct sizes would arrive in time for the event 9 days hence. The order noted an earlier day to ensure that it would be in with plenty of time.I called with a day to spare to check on the status and I never heard back.I also requested a call from the store manager 6 days ago and have not yet received it.Fortunately, I had made alternate plans to wear a suit I had, as a contingency.

My Wife said I needed a new suit, for upcoming Weddings & Formal Events, we went into Jos A. Bank and met Chris. He measured me, took us to a rack of great suits, handed me 1 and it was Super! Got the entire setup, shoes included! He was AWESOME, the Suit looks terrific and we couldn't be more pleased with his help, advice and Customer Service! Highly recommended this Establishment if you're in the Market for great attire!

The associate was very short with us when we went in to purchase a suit for my fiancé for our wedding. The first word spoken to us by an employee were “ you buying anything today”. They proceeded to try and sell others in the store pants that were I’ll fitting and then suggested shopping online instead of in person. The associate took off his shoe and started BUFFING them in front of us. My mother in law had questions about a vest and was greeted by deep sighs. Neither associate in the store were wearing name tags. When asked for a pants size that would fit my fiancé we were given a card to a tailor. As an event planner myself I will NOT recommend this store to any future clients or friends. Very disappointed in the “service” we received.

First class. Tom was very patient and considerate in helping me find a beautiful and well fitting suit, within my budget. It’s perfect and I love it. If you arrive right when the doors open, as I did; you might be fortunate to have a similar experience. Also, don’t pass over the clearance rack.. Thanks so much!
