Had nearly $4,000 repairs done on my 2015 Mini after $3,500 last year. Work this time was to take about a week. But they didn't bother to check if all the needed parts came in until the end, discovering missing gaskets - this added 5 more days. Picking up the car was inconvenient as well with poor hours and bad communication. Between the lemon of a car and the so-so service, I will not be buying a Mini again.

They scammed me stating my Mini had a lot that was keeping it from being inspected, which was going to cost in excess of $2,000.00 .But when taken to Mini of Buffalo, I only paid $196.00 for 3 necessary items for inspection 1 signal light and housing, 1 hose clamp, and 1 screw for evap pump, oh yeah also a bulb for license plate light.Rochester Mini only had selling me a new car or paying that outrageous service bill so they could line their pockets.RUN! RUN! RUN as fast as you can

Sean Then was terrific to work with, and totally removed any anxiety and worry that I had in going to a dealership just to see if I'd like driving a Mini. He was personable, knowledgeable, and it didn't feel like he rehearsed any of his answers either.I stopped by as a prospective buyer for Spring and there was virtually no pressure to make a purchase sooner than I'd like. The other staff on premises were friendly as well, and made sure that my girlfriend and I were taken care of. Easily the nicest dealership experience I've had to date and I'd recommend them from a sales perspective.

Trucks! My boyfriend and I both drive trucks. We were looking for something little and fuel efficient and decided to go the complete opposite way... MINI.MINI of Rochester had exactly the car we were looking for, and after test driving and questions, we signed on all the lines!!!Everyone at this dealership was friendly and helpful and very excited for us to join the MINI club, we literally had no idea what we were in for, but it is a blast! After a few days of having the car home, we just weren't happy with the brakes. I called and mentioned my concerns, and they got me in the next day to check them out for us. In the end, to make me happy and feel good about the purchase I just made, they put new rotors on the car for me and now everything is absolutely perfect.I am so grateful to have found this dealership that was willing to go the extra mile to make sure I was a completely satisfied buyer. I have actually even made some new friends from this whole experience. You won't be disappointed! Buy the MINI, and buy it from MINI of Rochester!

I was about as happy as you can be during the car buying process. My sales guy was Sean T and I felt that he and the behind the scenes financial people went above and beyond to get things done quickly so that I could take delivery the same day as it was a Saturday and I live a couple of hours away. There was some miscommunication among the staff however... 1) I wasn't initially offered gap insurance, so they had to reconfigure the electronic paperwork and 2) because of another miscommunication among the staff, I got screwed out of the new car photo op (no biggie) and got only a shortened crash course on the vehicle operation and infotainment system (which was kind of more irritating as I was trying to learn on my way back home - not optimal). Overall, a pretty decent experience and given my limited options in the world of Mini dealerships, I would likely visit here again.

These guys are amazing from Caleb in sales department to Jason in the parts department. They have gone above and beyond to help me even though I ended up not buying my mini there. They’re still willing to work on it and help me with accessories and answer all of my questions.

Not even close to a premium experience for a premium priced hatchback. Sales department ok but after three lackluster service visits we will drive the distance to a different dealer.UPDATE- Service manager Nick called me to discuss my review. He was pleasant and professional. He listened to my experiences and voiced understanding and a certain amount of frustration also. In a nutshell- I purchased a new EV from this dealer a year ago. In that time they have not upgraded their dealership to accommodate a product that they sell. They have no customer charging station and only one service bay that is equipped. The Bob Johnson Nissan dealer that shares a parking lot with Bob Johnson Mini has three charging terminals but are ‘locked.’ Nick expressed frustration that his dealership has not been upgraded and they be are not allowed to use these chargers for Mini customers. I have increases my rating to two stars to reflect the effort Nick has made. However I would not recommend this dealer to an owner of a Mini EV or plug-in hybrid.

Great parts department! However given past experiences with both buying cars and especially the dishonest and incompetent service departments ( to be fair it was the Toyota and Saab services under Dorschel- but I’ll assume most of them weee not replaced under new ownership) I would seriously avoid them for either buying a car or let them touch one !

The most unprofessional dealership my partner and I have ever worked with. We have purchased and leased vehicles from a dozen or more dealerships over the years and MINI of Rochester is the only one we'd never return to.After several years with the our first Mini, we looked to acquire another Clubman, but the sales tactics used against us were overtly predatory, especially for someone that was already a customer. This included withholding information from us, like equity in our vehicle, until we signed an agreement and gave them a down payment for a new vehicle. They told us that they could inform us of the equity only when we came to pick up the vehicle in several weeks to several months. We asked several times for them to at least provide a range, and they refused. This pushed us to look elsewhere for a vehicle, and no other local dealers put us through that during the process. BMW of Rochester, Audi of Rochester, Ide Volkswagon, and others, were all wonderful to deal with and were very transparent about the entire process and the costs involved. We decided to not pursue another transaction with Mini of Rochester due to this experience. We did however turn the vehicle in to them, and when we did this, they agreed to cover the disposition cost, as a courtesy, as we were 15k miles under the lease agreement. It was our fault for not getting this in writing, as we've now received a bill from Mini Financial for the cost of the disposition, as the dealership never paid it. The dealership has now admitted that there was a miscommunication on their end and that they would no longer be covering the disposition costs. So we are left footing the bill due to their mix-up, which is inappropriate at best. Our experience with multiple salespersons, managers, and customer service representatives at Mini of Rochester have all exhibited a complete lack of care for their customers. If you're looking for a Mini in the WNY area, you'd do yourself a favor by heading to Mini of Buffalo instead

THE WORST. DO NOT , I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE. They could not fix my mini . It went in worth worth 15 thousand dollars. after 4 weeks in their shop it was worth nothing and they still had a 5 thousand dollar BILL for me. It cost me 20 thousand dollars to NOT GET my car fixed.!!!!!!!! They do not reach out to update you. You need to call over and over and wait on hold over and over. In the end what they want is to take my car for free, drop a new engine in it and then sell it for a 15K windfall. AVOID them.

Just got my new MINI. The sales people and the rest of the staff are absolutely wonderful. I had a great experience buying my car, and if the time comes to car shop again, I'm definitely going back

Love the car. Barely any miles with one owner who had Mini of Rochester service the car on a lease. The hands free system does not work (reset entire system over ten times; works and then does not work) Obviously this was never run through by the staff/service department. In 24 hours of picking up the car I have to now have a service appointment. Wrote a text to my sales person who has not responded. Frustrating and then some
