The owners, the staff, the atmosphere, the wine list and execution, the FOOD is all on point. What an amazing experience every single time. The Pub is tried and true. ❤️❤️❤️

This is a hidden GEM in Rochester, NY! It is not a "pub" where the bar is the main focal point. It's in the back but is much more a fine dining type restaurant and well worth the visit. We had the twin 3oz filet, crab cake, mashed potato dish special and it was out of this world! We finished it off with peanut butter pie and coffee which was the perfect ending to an amazing meal with my husband!Highly recommend!

We were told it would be a one hour wait. We waited across the street at Magpie. After an hour with no call, we went back. The restaurant was 1/4 full. The host thanked us for out patience as if we didn't know he blew us off. The appetizers were excellent but the entrees were sub-par, tough meat, cold vegetables and rice, and the time gap between the first and second course was absurd. No espresso ... seriously? Not worth the wait, the poor service, or the food.

Food was overpriced and pretty terrible, I went because I saw great reviews and it was close but I had 1 crab cake for $16 which was soggy and barely warm and the mozzarella and prosciutto was gross, melted and cold.. also $15 for a couple pieces. Only redeeming thing was the bartender was an absolute sweetheart. Soup was decent, but won’t be going back.

Been stopping by for 10+ years and will continue to do so. Service is always 10/10 and the menu has something for everyone. Plus the crabcakes.

Olde school is the best way to describe this place. First thing you notice? No televisions. Soooo very nice. Next thing? It's quiet. You can hear the person next to you at the bar, and, at your table, the same. The drinks were professionally made, and the scotch was generously poured. Appetizers were excellent. And the dinners were as advertised: great. The risotto was especially delicious. Service was perfect, never trying to push us, and invisible until needed. All in all a 4/5 experience.

Parking is a pain the lot is hard to pay. The cost of dinner makes it once a year place you see lots of different people. I have spent more money in restaurants with better value.

Food is just so so. We had three dishes and they were all very bland.

I rarely write reviews of restaurants but this is an excellent place to eat, so I feel compelled to write about this excellent spot to eat. The food was amazing and the wait staff were attentive but not intrusive. It is clear that the owner and the chef are very invested in providing a great dining experience. We had a wonderful, relaxed evening and I am sure we will be returning soon. My only suggestion--a few pieces of art on the long wall to break up the wall that has several tasteful sconces on it. It would soften the decor and make it even more welcoming.

A hidden gem on Park Ave. This place was excellent. The food has quality ingredients and made with love. The best beef stroganoff I have ever ate. The waitress with the red hair was friendly and accommodating. Definitely visit again.

This was such a lucky strike. we were in from out of town doing the college drop off, and after deliberating over many places trying to please everyone we almost made this choice at random. Everything about the place was a pleasant experience for weary travelers in need of a fine meal after the fast food attractions on the turnpike. Cheers to you folks for great food, healthy portions great service and cozy atmosphere.

If I could give zero stars I would. The service was stale and basic. It felt like a Denny's. The Ambiance was basic. The food.... My husband ordered the special tonight which was a bone in rib eye steak with sautéed onions, mixed vegetables, and mashed potatoes. The mixed vegetables were canned green beans with carrot bits, corn, and red peppers. The kind of canned beans your grandmother bought in the 70's, the mashed potatoes were lumpy and flavorless, and the rib eye was medium rare as requested was bland and so stringy it couldn't be cut through as well as covered in about a cup and a half of mostly sautéed onions. I ordered the crab cake and the beet salad. The crab cake tasted like a Sam's frozen select, the beet salad had three very thick slices of canned beets on top with balsamic drizzled over the top. It was all inedible. The wine list is mediocre and while you expect restaurant wine to be overpriced they usually at least have good options. Our waiter never checked back on us. It was a truly terrible experience. In a city that has so many amazing restaurants and food experiences it is hard to believe this place is celebrating its 50'th year. We wanted to try it but never dreamt it would be so incredibly sub par. Don't waste your time or money. Go to Nosh, Redd, Cure, Velvet Belly... heck go to Hedges, which has also been around forever but has managed to stay relevant and delicious. We had to flag down the server to ask for our check. When he asked how everything was l, we voiced our concerns with the food and he said nothing and walked away. Just stay away from this place.
