All the staff members are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. I had a challenging time getting my prescription correct, but they were very patient and supportive until the problem was rectified. I highly recommend Pearle Vision!!

So I almost never post negative reviews (this is actually only my second of all time), but my most recent experience with Pearle Vision in Pittsford Plaza warrants it.My Friday 3/15/24 experience was filled with 3 rude employees, who refused service, sale of goods, and just wanted to go home early. I found out the next day that the markup on the specific pair of glasses I did buy from the Eastview Pearle Vision location (independently owned) was $100 cheaper than the "sale" price at Pittsford Plaza. If you want a positive, kind, and considerate experience when buying fairly priced glasses, go to Eastview Mall, NOT Pittsford Plaza.When I first walked in, three employees were sitting down, without a single customer in the store. An employee told us that they wouldn't be able to help us because they were just too busy and we didn't have an appointment. This was a lie because we were the only customers in the store, the employees were literally sitting down, and the sign on the door said you only needed appointments for eye exams. I already had a prescription in hand and didn't need an eye exam. I pointed this out and the female employee continued to argue that they were short staffed and couldn't take my information for the sale, so we could look, but to buy, I would need to come back the following day. They also said they were about to close, and when I clarified that they closed at 5:30 and she said yes, I was about to go off on her because it was only 5:02, but my wife stopped me.It's been a long time since I've had such an experience in a store. It's really too bad because this would have been the 5th pair of glasses I've purchased from this location over the years, but instead I went to the Pearle Vision in the Mall the following day (3/16/24) and was able to buy the exact same pair that I picked out in Pittsford Plaza, for $100 cheaper than their marked down price (a $150 savings from their original price). So on top of the employees lying about being busy and wanting to just clearly leave work early, their glasses are overpriced as well.If the owner reads this, you should have a serious talk with your closing staff. They let a $300 sale walk out their front door and were too busy sweeping, cleaning mirrors, and emptying garbage cans to take my money. There were so many things wrong with this experience. I feel sorry for you that these are the employees you need to rely on to stay in business. I've always had great experiences at your location, until yesterday. Since I looked around after this experience, I found the same pair cheaper and I won't be back. I'm fairly young and will be buying glasses for the next 40-50 years, not to mention I used to always recommend your location to people I know who are looking for glasses. That recommendation also stopped last night. So, it wasn't just the single sale that walked out your front door last night, but many future sales as well.One last bit of the experience. A male employee told another two people that came in that they might not be able to help fix a bent nose piece because they were closing in 10 minutes (at 5:12), which means they weren't closing for 18 minutes. It's really a shame these three employees were in such a rush to kick customers out of the store, in order to start their weekend. Class act.Oh, and final bit of the story. The Eastview Mall location was able to take my information for the glasses sale in approximately 6 minutes, similarly, close to their closing time. It wasn't a problem for them and they only had two employees at the time, instead of three.

I love the doc there, Dr. Outinen, but the customer service is wretched. The last time I was there, to pick up a pair of contacts, I asked one of the employees if she would adjust my glasses while I was there. Like the other reviewer, she asked if I had purchased them at Pearle Vision and when I told her no, she told me there was a $50 fee.Now, aside from the fact that this amount is absolutely ludicrous, aside from the fact that I've had my glasses adjusted there for years (including a different pair that they adjusted, literally the week before), aside from the fact that I've been going to this location (*and* bringing both my teenagers there) for close to a decade and have spent many hundreds of dollars -- there was also the issue of her attitude. She was smug and condescending, and seemed to take a great deal of pleasure in refusing to do this small service for me. Judgy AF because I didn't want to spend $500+ on a pair of cookie-cutter frames. I guess that's what you get when you go to Pittsford for eye exams.At this point, I'm not sure what I'll do. Doubt I'll go back, despite holding the optometrist in such high regard.

My experience at Pearle Vision Pittsford left me with an appreciation for such a refreshing level of service that is rare to encounter these days. At the heart of this experience was my work with Colleen to find my next pair of glasses. What is typically a daunting task for me, turned into an enjoyable one. Colleen's level of client service, from the explanation of the paperwork I was reading to the supportive guidance I received as I progressed through frames, truly sets the bar for the industry. Never once did I feel rushed, and I had a supportive friend with a second objective opinion on the ready when I needed it. She took the time to help me work through my decision, apply my preferences, and ensure that in the end, I was 100% confident and satisfied with my purchase. The passion that this entire team has for their work is evident. The clinician on staff, Dr. Williams, was excellent. Already looking forward to my next pair.

I had an issue with my eye and have a dark floater. The doctor took extra time to explain the situation. I also went for a new eye exam and was ready for new glasses. My financial situation isn’t the greatest and they made me well taken care and not pressured to spend more than I could afford to right now

I ordered a pair of reading glasses from Pearle Vision that ended up not working for me at all. The prescription was written for someone who holds their book very close to their face and I hold my book further when I read at night. I was so upset that I had spent hundreds of dollars on a new pair of glasses that I would never use. I called Pearle Vision to explain the problem, expecting to hear that there was nothing they could do for me, but I was very pleased and surprised that they were willing to redo the lenses on my new glasses for free, despite the fact that there was no error made on their part! Thank you! Thank you!

My husband and I were extremely pleased with our appointment for new glasses. Colleen was pleasant, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. She helped us try on numerous glasses until we found the ones that were perfect. At that time she fitted us taking all the appropriate measurements. We completed the sale and I have to say that the smile never left Colleen's face. Such a pleasant experience.

I recently visited Pearle Vision and had the pleasure of working with Colleen to find new glasses. From start to finish, she was incredibly patient, kind, and compassionate, taking the time to listen to my needs and preferences.At first, I went around trying out different glasses, but I couldn't find one that worked for me. I shared with Colleen my likes and dislikes and she brought out almost 20 different pairs for me to try — she didn't give up and kept searching for the perfect fit. If you are in need of an annual eye exam, I highly recommend Pearle Vision for any of your eye care needs! The staff is so friendly and helpful when it comes to picking out your glasses. They have a wonderful selection to choose from. Dr. Outinen is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to ensure his patients receive the utmost care during their eye exams. I give them 5 stars!!!

I had a very great assist at Pearle Vision. Dr. Yvonne Williams makes sure I get the help I need with my eye problems. I forgot the name of the lady with the nice gray glasses who helped me pick couple of glass frames, but she is so nice and patient with me throughout the whole picking time. ❤️

Absolutely horrible customer service. I went there for a routine annual eye exam in November 2022. During the same visit, I was offered contact lens fitting but I told them I would come back another time for that because I was not eligible for new contact lens supply through my insurance yet. Fast forward to March 2023, I scheduled a contact lens fitting that would normally cost $40-50 under EyeMed insurance. However, they said I now have to pay $200 to have a REPEAT eye examination before I could have my contact lens fitting (although I just had my annual eye examination in November). Apparently, now they are saying there is a "90 day policy" for contact lens fitting after someone completes the annual eye exam. This important piece of information was never disclosed when I came to them in November and feels like a scam. To get my contact lens prescription (which is the same prescription I have for the past five years), they want me to pay $200 just for the fitting! This is absolutely ridiculous. The store manager Carla (or a similar name) was extremely rude over the phone. I would never come back to Pearle Vision Pittsford again for the lack of transparency and bad customer service!
