I have been going to pure barre in Pittsford since May. I have never met, nicer staff, incredible instructors, and a wonderful community of friendly women. I went to a few different pure bars around the country while I was traveling and although I felt, I got a good work out, their instructors didn’t hold a candle to the ones in Pittsford. Every instructor is enthusiastic, helpful, and fun. I am so happy that I found this particular community.

Amazing how sore you can be (in a good way) after just one class Challenging without jumping around. The instructors are top notch! Highly recommend.

The instructors and classes are great. You know what to expect after your first few classes.However due to billing practices and other policies I will not return and I do not recommend the Pure Barre franchise. Ex. I had the 8 class pack that automatically renews monthly but was unable to sign up for pop-up classes like stretch and restore because I don't have a 'membership'. I also had to cancel my 'not membership' due to moving. They eneded my membership on the end of month rather than the end of my billing cycle making loose out on classes and money.

Although this as my first time at this studio and only third time doing a barre class in my life I felt right at home. Melissa was awesome! She helped me adjust frequently during the workout to make sure I was properly doing the exercises since I had no idea what I was doing. When I was doing something right she also gave me a shout out by name which was nice. The next day I felt I got a workout, which doesn't happen often for me. I like the variety of the class and working all muscles. The atmosphere was very clean as well which is very important to me.

I joined this location while visiting my family from California due to my uncles passing. I joined there trial monthly pass to be there for my cousin. I specifically asked their front desk for their recommendation and they recommended purchasing and then canceling within the 30 day period. I canceled within the 30 day period by calling them and letting them know I do not live in the area. Their reps told me they would take care of it. However, the months following I was bombarded with spam texts, phone calls, and emails asking me to come back into the studio. I would reply and tell them I do not live in Rochester and that I live in California. It continued until a billing rep called me to notify me that I have to pay $89 as a final bill for a month of services that I never received. I'm disappointed in the lack of care for customers and taking advantage of me by providing me the wrong information. I will never go to Pure Barre again. Terrible experience.

Warning: Extremely Sketchy Billing Practices!I took a free trial class in October of 2021 at the Pittsford, NY Pure Barre location and signed up for a membership after the initial class. I was told that I could cancel within 30 days of signing up. I attempted to cancel mid October after I lost my job and became sick and could not utilize the membership. I was told it was not within the 30 days and my only option was to freeze my account for $15 a month. Ever since, I have made repeated attempts to cancel every month but have been told I would have to pay for another full month of the subscription because it was not within 30 days of the billing period! I have been paying $15 a month now for 4 months. I’ve made multiple calls, emails, and texts to try and rectify this situation and all I have received in return are false promises, lies, and manipulation. Their website clearly states under the last paragraph of the Billing section: “YOU MAY CANCEL YOUR SERVICE SUBSCRIPTION AT ANY TIME.” and “YOU MAY CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION THROUGH THE VENUE YOU PURCHASED IT.” Not true on both counts because I’ve tried—repeatedly! Buyer beware! DO NOT sign up for this membership because of their highly unprofessional and unethical billing practices!

I have been a member at this gym for over a year, instructors are great however the management team is very tactical and dishonest its very transparent immediately from the start of this membership when I joined From automatic charges, nickel and diming you on $10 late fees, borrowing a hair tie the manager tried to sell me a pack for $10 rather than just let me use a simple tie at the front desk. A membership costs $159, I was accidentally charged 2 times and NON REFUNDED!!! This was during COVID when my account was frozen!!!! The managers claim they dont know how to refund me? They stall in handing me the cancelation forms requested weeks ago only to change me again. Take your business somewhere that is more considerate and doesnt just see their customers as dollar signs.
