Due to behavioral issues I could no longer manage alone I surrendered my 2 GCC's Nyx and Astrid two weeks ago. Sabrina was wonderful when I dropped them off and was very understanding of my emotional state while doing so.

This is a beautiful rescue and I've heard nothing but wonderful things about them. I'm hoping they can connect me with a new soul mate, as I just lost my Conure last week.

We surrendered our green cheek conures, Goose and Gander, a few weeks ago after loving them for 9 years. We made this extremely difficult decision due to lack of space and time, and one of the birds disliking our two year old. They just weren’t getting the attention they deserve. It was one of the hardest, most heartbreaking things we’ve ever had to do, but Sabrina has made it as good of an experience as it can be. She was empathetic to our situation and reassured us we were making the right decision. She requires potential adopters to go through an extensive application process to make sure the birds (and reptiles) end up in the best home possible. She has been wonderful about keeping us updated and sending us pictures/videos of the birds, which has been helping our family get through this. I have no doubt they’re currently in great care with Sabrina and that she will find them a fantastic home

I called the lady who answered was incredibly disrespectful. I hung up she called back and called me out my name calling me a B****.

I made the decision to rehome a cockatiel named Pichu that my father was no longer able to look after due to his health. I was recommended to go talk to Sabrina from second chance. This was a huge life changer for me as I wanted Pichu in the hands of someone I know would be a better fit in looking after him. Sabrina was incredibly understanding of my situation and was very kind and helpful. I couldn’t thank her enough for everything. Amazing service and a very compassionate person.

This agency is very judgemental. They dont care about the person that is interested in adopting. They only judge you by what you put on an pplication and that's it. They dont make any effort to meet with you or talk with you to get a better idea of who you are and why you want to adopt. I would not recommend this agency.

It has been a couple visits of pure happiness for me, and the great feeling of giving helpless beating hearts a forever home safe and warm. The staff handled everything with professional care, paperwork, and even gathering the birds for their trip home. I've met with Barb in Rochester, and Sabrina in Sodus. Both houses and places I would recommend anytime for bird lovers looking to open their heart to one from maybe a rough past, in need of new comfort type love. Or maybe a gentle little one who just got tossed around and never settled yet. I admired how cleaned up and healthy they have the animals who were not on a good leg coming into their places prior. Truly warms my heart to see good people like Second Chance Bird & Reptile Rescue.♡ Thank you guys!

We adopted a Quaker named Poseidon who is an absolute gem! Drove 4 hours to go meet him and I must say he was the perfect fit for us. It is clear Sabrina cares so much for these animals and who they end up with. It was an absolute pleasure getting to meet Sabrina and I wish we had more time to sit down and chat, but we had a long drive home ahead of us. If you are looking to adopt a bird or reptile or to donate, Second Chance should be your first thought!

I had to make a difficult decision of rehoming my cockatoo, Rudy. I share a house with someone and cockatoos unfortunately make noise. I was told about Second Chance Bird and Reptile Rescue and I contacted this wonderful group. Sabrina has been amazing and so kind while I struggled through this decision. My hope is someone will see how amazing he is and give him a forever home. I’m not sure my heart will ever heal from this but knowing that these kind, caring people are trying to help gives me some peace. Thank you to all the people who work so hard and are devoted to these animals. Thank you all, especially to Sabrina for your big heart
