Best German food in New York State. Their Jaeger schnitzel is my favorite. Very small place, with limited seating... but worth any wait. Great deli too. Staff is wonderful.

The waitress somehow read my mind and offered me gravy without mushrooms even though the rest of my party had already ordered the standard gravy.

Love their food! Whether here or at the Octoberfest, it can't be beat. Recently I stopped for some various wurst. The staff was very helpful in helping me out.

Heard a lot of good things about Swans... Be prepared. Standing room only later in the lunch hour. A lot of Beer will be poured your way. Can't decide what to get, just order the sampler. The accordion player is a nice touch too.We will be back, such a great experience.

A true hidden gem that my middle school German teacher introduced me to years ago.Everything here is delicious from the smoked sausages (currywurst and cajun cranberry are must-tries), hot lunch options, to the chocolate bars from the shelf. Local bread is often available by checkout as well, which is much appreciated.Dine-in is available during lunch hours, but is definitely more for extroverts as it's family style seating in the middle of a pretty small space and gets loud quickly.Ordering to go can be tricky as the online system hasn't been available lately and it's difficult to hear each other over the phone. When ordering at the counter, sometimes the live music makes it even more difficult, but it's worth the effort, trust me.One of the best things about this spot is that most of what you can order during lunch is available raw in the case if you want to make it at home. Everything is super fresh.Parking: This place has literally 1-2 official spots and they are usually taken. Plan to use street parking and be prepared to parallel park.

The best sausage and bacon in Rochester. A place for all your German meat needs. Raucous and fun lunch spot.

Outstanding place to get lunch. Great German food, and it's very inexpensive. The deli looks great, too.

I visit Swan Market for the deli and German grocery items, so I don't have any thoughts on the dining experience. However, I absolutely love every product whether it's from the deli counter or the market shelves.
