In recent years Wegmans has changed a lot. They have taken more brand names off their shelves and replace them with Wegmans brands that are made in Canada. With the Canadian tariffs that we are going to start seeing I doubt the prices will be able to reflect a deep discount as they do now. Honestly, their brand products are not that good. Olives were blan, some cheeses are okay, canned products are lacking a lot of flavor. When it comes to cashing out, Wegmans has replaced a lot of cashiers with self checkout. There's only 2 or 3 cashiers at most at any given time. So hopefully you only need to get 20 items or less! Lol! The 20 items or less would take you to a self checkout. Please note, there are cameras that every single one and seven or eight cameras when you first walk in the door. There's also two or three security guards at the door/walking the floor at any given time. While the East avenue store and pittsford stores remain beautiful the stores on Mount Read and in the Long pond area are not as good as they used to be. I miss Bob, Danny and his family are not doing anything the way Bob did. I will be shopping a lot more at public markets, Amish markets and direct from the farmer if possible. Times are definitely changing.

Produce consistently has molded fruit. I use to be able to just grab and go. Now I have to search for a good one.
Good vegan products are being pushed out for inferior wegmans brand products.

The customer service here is bad. Walking around the store no one asks if you need help finding anything and when I ask I am given attitude like I’m a bother. The cashiers here don’t know how to interact with the customers. No eye contact is made, cashiers don’t say hello or ask how you are or ask if you found everything ok. Don’t feel welcomed and they are not giving their best. The store is becoming a mess slowly. Find better people during interviews.

Update: WHAT THE HECK is Wegmans putting in their prepared soups and Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookies!?!?!? MY MICROWAVE IS SPARKING AND SET FIRE TO THE COOKIES! That ONLY happens when there's metal in the product. Why is there metal in your cookies and soup!?!?!?!
Personal favorite Wegmans! Nice restrooms and amazing fresh food selection and prepared foods!

I feel bad writing this about a Wegman’s I have gone to for years but…. I find the cashier’s extremely rude. They NEVER say thank you and at the most when I say thank you to them I get a no problem, a yup or NOTHING! My 10 year old Grandchild has more manners than their cashiers.
Today when I was pushing my cart out full of $200 worth of groceries I was rammed into by a teenager pushing carts in the store. He yelled at me and said “didn’t you see me”. What! I saw him but thought he would stop for ME the 80 year old customer. I called the manager and while she was apologetic she had a totally different version of what happened. Also the teenage girl employee outside with the guy was extremely combative and he literally pulled her back so she would not get in my face. I literally was afraid and will either go to Latta Road or Ridge Road Wegman’s. Never Mt. Read again.

Wegmans is one of the best places to shop. I do have some quarrels with how things are priced, but that's with every store everywhere. Wegmans is always clean, well organized, staff is diverse, friendly and helpful. I wish (all) cashiers were allowed to sit, made thriving wages, and had complete medical and dental (as someone who was forced into early retirement from the damage standing for hours did to my body) because corporate can absolutely afford it based on how much profit they make. Regardless, quality products and good policies regarding dissatisfaction with anything bought in their stores. I recommend Wegmans to everyone.
