“Myself and 5 other people went to The Drunken Labatory Brooklyn to celebrate my cousins birthday. Each table seated 6 people so we had a table to ourselves. It was like $75 per person. When you enter you are asked to select one of the theme drinks, and given a shot. You are asked to come up with a sexy scientist name and put on your lab coat. We had a DJ who played good music. We also had a host/Professor who was very lively. You are able to order additional drinks (card only). Be prepared to do actual science project and answer trivia questions. Your prize is more shots. We definitely enjoyed ourselves”
“Private brunch for a baby shower, the crew was fantastic, the fixing were on point and service impeccable. Lots of refills, tables cleared promptly and any needs met instantly. There was lots of street parking (meters and alt side) and all went as planned.”

“I had my daughter’s 5th birthday here in March and it was amazing! The staff were so polite, professional from start to finish, and helpful! They set everything up for you and clean up, they even helped me get everything back to my car. They even sanitized everything before our party which I appreciated being that my little one gets sick easily. The games were so much fun for both parents and kids! I work in operations so I know all the work and level of detail it takes to run things as efficiently as they did. The only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars is because a couple of the gaming systems downstairs were not working. Everything else was perfect!”

“A great venue with a luxurious feel. I enjoyed my event with both levels and the owners were very helpful and accommodating. It has the space that’s needed to entertain your guest comfortably while having my event. The decor package that suite116 provides will make your vision complete and you won’t be disappointed in any way,shape or form. Highly recommended if you want a everlasting memory.”
“We arrived right at 5 pm when they opened and were seated straight away. It's sad that they're closing their N9 location, but the new place looks stunning. It's great that they have event space in the back so it doesn't shut down for weddings.The service was really attentive, although you could tell they're still getting used to things. We tried the Chef's whim, which they made vegetarian for us. The portions are good for sharing between 2-4 people. The blue cheese was tasty, but the veggies didn't impress much. The pear was a nice surprise for dessert. It was disappointing they don't serve Brussels sprouts anymore, but I'll try more of their dishes next time.The wine selection is good. I had the bubbly and the Riesling. The bubbly wasn't my favorite, but the Riesling was decent, not too sweet. I also tried the Pinot noir and enjoyed it the most.Overall, it's a great place for meeting friends or a date night. It's best to make a reservation unless you want to try your luck early on.”
“What an amazing historical moment I had...This was the Williamsburg Savings Bank erected in 1875 and now its a event space for weddings/fashion shows/movie shoots etc and the staff at The Weylin is absolutely phenomenal ?”
“The owners were amazing this spot is very beautiful and then a great location if you have to drive or take the train. I really loved that they had chairs and tablecloths readily available and even the big Grand chair if you're having a baby shower or bridal shower or just honoring anyone at an event. There's also a heating area that can heat all your food that's not ready to be taken out and placed into serving trays yet.”

The decorations were wonderful, and the staff were incredibly accommodating, attentive and friendly, ensuring every detail was taken care of.If you've been to Dream City before, you're aware of all the play areas and interactive games/activities they have to offer. Needless to say, there was endless fun for the little ones, and even some of the grown-ups! “The Party Solvers Team were wonderful. From the behind the scenes process, everyone was responsive, patient, and professional. We had a wonderful experience and our daughter’s birthday was excellent. Decor, desserts and cake were delicious. The highlight was the bouncy house that kept the children energized throughout the event.”

We were there for a catered affair and I don't know if the caterer is independent.
They moved the crowds well, the facility is clean and nicely decorated.
There is a large parking lot.

“Public restrooms are available. I would like to see more scheduled cleaning ( mopping and wiping of surfaces up to 4 times a day) as this next to the BBQ grills and concession stands and get heavy foot traffic, particularly on the weekends.”

“We just held a party for 80 family and friends to celebrate the upcoming wedding of our daughter and her fiancé at The Ocean Club. To be with loved ones in such an awe-inspiring setting was magical; the ocean, the most beautiful white sand, the gorgeous sunset-all enjoyed from their beautiful deck..:then the indoor and outdoor bar....and lovely ballroom. the atmosphere is casual yet elegant festive yet calm. There were really three parts to the experience and all three were perfect. First there is the period of selecting and working with the team: they couldn't have been more cooperative and helpful and responsive and flexible. Second is the event itself: ran absolutely smoothly and everything they said they would handle, they handled with great care. Third after the event; we left some items behind and they were in touch with us the very next morning. The Ocean Club works with one caterer and man what a skilled and delightful group of professionals who not only prepared delicious food but we're so invested in the success of our event that their presence enhanced the evening for all. Together this made for a perfect event!”

FirstLive books a range of performers, but their mission to elevate those artists who are on their way up invites real community. You'll likely get a chance to personally thank the musicians and mix with others artists if that's your thing. If that isn't, just a good vibe all around regardless. Easy to talk to strangers at a place like this and make a meaningful connection. If you're going into the soundroom to watch the performances up close, don't forget your earplugs!

“This is my fourth summer staying at The Rockaway Hotel, and I genuinely love supporting local businesses—especially one that allows for a chic little staycation so close to home. The location is ideal, and this summer, I’ve noticed a marked improvement in the beach amenities. Chris is doing a fantastic job—truly a highlight of the experience.
That said, there are a few things I wish the hotel would consider for future guests:
• Room Comfort: The pillows in the rooms leave much to be desired, and the lack of USB or USB-C charging ports feels outdated in 2025.
• Weekend Experience: Be aware that summer weekends feature live concerts on the patio that go until 10 PM—fun for some, but not exactly conducive to a relaxing evening.
• Pricing vs. Value: Rates on weekends are steep given the room size and overall service level.
• Family-Friendly Vibes: While I understand that families make up a large part of the clientele, the pool area can get quite chaotic. As someone who comes to unwind, I often wish there was a more serene, adults-only vibe—at least in designated spaces.
Still, The Rockaway Hotel has carved out a special niche, and I continue to return because the location, the team, and the spirit of the place feel like summer to me. I hope they keep evolving—and listening.”
