I have a home and business nearby. The past few years this hotel has declined in everything from comfort, accessibility; safety and service. I own a commercial daycare and a security agency which provide personal protection services. The Best Western in Rockville Center has a contract with the State and with Nassau County to provide rooms for local residents who are homeless. Some of these residents have children registered with my daycare and we provide transportation for them. The General Manager, Chandrawattie Sunnie, has made it clear to the homeless residents that she do not want regular paying guests to see or encounter the homeless guests. Regular guests are permitted to be dropped off andPicked up at the front entrance. However, the homeless guests and their children are instructed to go to the rear of the hotel to be picked up. A clear discrimination of the homeless. Staff are permitted to parked their personal vehicles at the front exit, literally in the driveway, which prevent guests and service vehicles from entering and exiting. forcing guests to be picked up or dropped off on a very busy highway (Sunrise Highway) the parking lot is usually filled with random people drinking and/or using drugs. Many of the guest and staff speak ebonically and vulgarly. This is a great hotel, great location, but with the current general manager in charge this place I would highly recommend to avoid.

The lady at the front desk (the indian looking one) is very rude ! The maids dont respect when you put the do not disturb on the door they still come into the room . The cook in the kitchen tried to tell me how much bacon i can eat ! This is a racial thing and im a black girl with two kids and they have no respect they even mopped the steps down and didnt put no sign to let the guess know it was wet and me and my daughter had slipped down the steps they didnt even care if we were okay or not she cared more about my tone in voice after my 8 year old almost broke her neck . Im getting a lawyer i feel harrassed . Oh yeah and she keeps calling up to my room calling my guess my boyfriend saying my guess cant come in my room because my guess is my boyfriend which its not so yeah if you a black American come with ya dignity and be prepared to get treated unfairly

It's basically a motel. Correct. Large bed. Breakfast is quite good and varies a little each day. It is next to a LIRR station so there is noise from the trains. It's not cheap for what it is. It takes about 30-40 minutes to get to Grand Central by train.

The rooms are good overall. This hotel is very noisy, between the trains, sirens, and kids running up and down the halls you will find it hard to relax. It appears that some folks live there, and there are people in and out of the rooms walking the parking lot all hours of the night.

This is a great place to stay. Love the location but mostly love the service from the sales manager, Linda, to the all of the wonderful people cleaning the rooms, and Jose the chef. They all make your stay wonderful.Linda is really amazing. She goes out of her way to make you feel welcome and help in any way. Here's just one of the example: I asked her if I could borrow a pencil and she found only one that was not sharpened. When I got back to my room late that night, there were 2 sharpened pencils on the desk in my room. She went totally out of her way.Thank you for the great experience.

This is not a hotel, it’s a motel. All entrances to rooms are accessible from the parking lot which we didn’t realize when we booked. Stayed here while visiting NYC. Very close to the train station. Rooms were clean but walls are thin! People in the room next door were partying most of the night with their door open and smoking which was sucked into our room thanks to the AC unit being on the front of the room. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was decent. I didn’t feel unsafe but didn’t feel very safe either. There are lots of things to do nearby and I understand that this is the “best” place to stay in the area.

We booked this hotel for our guests and the experience was great!! Our guests traveled separately and the front desk made everything seamless. The lobby and rooms were clean and kept up. The front desk was awesome and always smiling. The beds and pillows were very comfy. Our guests enjoyed the breakfast. Management is diligent and extremely visible. The manager Sunnie was very accommodating and helpful. They were able to manage extra rooms for our guests at the last moment when the hotel was completely sold out. Did not experience any issues.Overall the stay was great and I highly recommend it. Thank you for the great service!

I like this hotel it is centrally located in the Rockville city center close walking distance to all the restaurants. I would give a five but the hotel is older it is being remodeled and doing a great job. But you can still tell a bit dated. Also hallways are all outside like an old motor in. But rooms are updated with flat screen TVs, bathroom is dated but very clean. Included breakfast was very good. There is an outdoor pool and nice fitness center. I would stay there again.

On this trip I only had dealings with Linda and, as usual, she was awesome. Check-in and check-out was quick. One of the reasons I choose this Best Western is that it is convenient to many restaurants and bars, highways to navigate Long Island, and close to Brooklyn and Queens. Also, only one block away is the train station giving access to Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan (at times a 35 minute train ride). Finally, for summer fun, this hotel is only about 7 miles from the South Shore beaches without high hotel costs.

Horrible Service! I Stayed at This Hotel For 3 Months A Few Years back & thought I would pay another visit while I’m in the area. The lady working morning Shift on 8/27/23 has HORRIBLE Service She tried to help me in no way! Making me wait for a room when it’s 2:40 pm & I see several clean rooms is just very inconsiderate. I will NEVER stay here again, I’m big on customer service. Last but not least as I’m writing this, shes telling her her co worker something about myself and fiancé, she looked at us then rolled her eyes. Then he looked at us! Very uncomfortable! Will never pay to stay somewhere like this again
