Rolling Oaks Golf Course, a Town of Brookhaven golf course, has seen some changes in recent years, with the front 9 holes remaining in good shape, while the back 9 have experienced issues with standing water, which the town has chosen to turn into water hazards through neglect. The course is known for its narrow fairways and short holes, making it a good option for working on accuracy, as well as a suitable choice for training young golfers. While the course is reasonably priced, some golfers have expressed disappointment with its overall condition. The design is described as "all over the place" and the course appears to be "falling apart" in certain areas, with flooded fairways and challenging shot requirements to avoid landing in another hole's fairway or getting lost in the trees. Despite these concerns, the course is still enjoyed by many, with some golfers praising its low cost and the challenge of shaping shots around the trees. The course is also praised for its calm atmosphere and the pleasant staff, as well as its convenient location near a local grocery store and shopping center. However, some golfers have noted issues with the course's maintenance, such as overgrown tee boxes, poor sand traps, and a lack of available carts. The high number of par 3 holes has also been a point of contention for some players. Overall, Rolling Oaks Golf Course offers a mixed experience, with a good front 9, challenging layout, and reasonable pricing, but also some maintenance and condition issues that may detract from the overall golfing experience for some players.
Golf course is in good condition. Very friendly staff. Pace of Play is usually good. Lots of over grown trees with narrow fairways. A great last minute or I am in the neighborhood type of place.
