Was having issues with my car shifting into park and went here. Immediately felt at ease meeting Michelle and Axle the cat. They found the cause of the problem within 2 business days. The transmission cable was rusty so they cleaned and greased it free of charge!!! They even checked in with me a week later to see how the car was driving. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Some agressive black guy with no teeth is living in transmission shop. If you park there to go to ihop he will block your car with his and then come out and yell that he is sleeping. Couple screws and teeth are missing in someones head?.He is sitting all day by the window and watching. Try to avoid this place at all costs?

We had our Chevy suburban towed to GT Transmissions recently when the transmission failed. We had just replaced the transmission five months earlier while my son had it at college in North Carolina. GT Transmissions let us know that it was shot and needed to be replaced. They patiently worked with us to try and get warranty information from the garage we used in North Carolina. After many attempts to get this info, both by us and by GT Transmissions, it was clear that there was no national warranty on the transmission they installed (or possibly rebuilt). Long story short we had GT Transmissions complete the install of a remanufactured transmission with a three year warranty. They kept us in the loop constantly which was the opposite of our experience with the other mechanic. So far the truck is running great with no issues. This is what a professionally run auto repair business looks like. Thank you Michelle for all of your help with this situation and for proactively keeping us in the loop on the progress of the reinstall.

Needed a clutch replacement on my Audi A5. Majority of Transmission shops will not work on Audi’s or give you insane price estimates. Not GT Transmission, they said immediately they can do the job and provided a reasonable price estimate in 5 minutes! They did the job and it drives like MY Audi again! Turns out I needed a rebuilt transmission and radiator on my Xterra. They did great with timing and they allowed it to sit there for a few days so I can decide on whether I want to go through with the work or not, after all it as a huge decision financially. I had my 2010 F350 towed to them to rebuild the trans in August, it took 2wks which I had no problem with, I go to pick it up battery completely dead,never happened before. They jumped me soon as I pun reverse, I waited a wk figured new gears never stopped, I brought back up when i had time cause i own a small business they try to say it's my driveshaft,it wasn't it was newly done. I been renting trucks ever since because they didn't want to look at their work come to find out the wire harness pinched the trans vss wire burnt took photos cause I crawled under myself to find out what was wrong when all the guy and the old man had to do was look up and could've seen it instead of telling me I am wrong. Well it's January lost customers still have no truck paid my bill in full to be done right and destroyed the only vehicle I had,I don't ever hate on small businesses but this hurt me more than anything ever destroyed every holiday lost over 15k between rentals and nerves being shot because I don't want to argue with anyone specially after you let them know what happened and truck never ever died befor. I shouldn't have to go to a repair shop more then ONCE it could've been took care of the day I brought it but he refused to look over his work. It hurts me to write this but put yourself in my shoes I shouldn't have to beg on something I know was wrong when I work on vehicles myself to save money. Hopefully others get treated better in the future.Service: Transmission
