Even though weather conditions were tough, had a great adventure with Bill. 40 degrees and rainy but we worked it and stalked a nice brown. Bill was an awesome coach and nailed the fly selection. Mend, Mend, MEND!!!! Great day for the memory bank! Thank you!

Did a half day walk and wade guided trip and gear rental - was fantastic! Stayed well past our time slot to make the most of an evening hatch.
Have tried all of the other outfitters in town, and this was our favorite by a long shot. Heads up we did have to buy our own flies before we started and if it’s hot or water is low there’s a good chance you’ll do the Willowemoc instead of the Beaverkill.

Honest review from a Sayville, long Island resident on two day vacation with my girl and our two dogs--hard pass! I found the lead attendant to be condescending and dismissive in response to a simple question about the store. The store across the street is a fraction of the size and is packed with the items I need. I also found a genteel man in a chair with a small older dog clinging to his side. The man was friendly and easy to talk with. I did not find that air in the Beaver kill shop. The beaver kill shop gave me the feeling you get dealing with jack wits in a pretentious golf pro shop--exactly like that! I come from poor, coal miner stock in Lackawanna county Pennsylvania. My grandfather was a printer, later in life. A particular license plate he printed comes to mind: "It's nice to be important but it's more to be nice" I'm a member of the Art Flick Chapter of trout unlimited on Long Island sir. Have a nice day!

Just did a guided fly fishing trip this weekend and can't say enough good things about it! Our guide, Irwin, was a great teacher. He was patient, kind, and very knowledgeable. We had a lot of fun hanging out and learning from him. We hooked 8 fish and landed 4! It was also very affordable when we split it between two people. Highly recommend!

F the Red Head that works here. I was the only one in the shop. I took a picture of somthing to you tube it, to see if I wanted to spend 80$ on it. I put it back on the rack and he didn't even try to hide the "Jesus Christ" that came out of his mouth. If you are reading this Red, I purchased my entire 3 wt setup from you in order to spend my money locally. Not one more penny my man.

My boyfriend and I had never gone fly fishing so booked a half day experience via Beaverkill Angler. Wayne made this experience amazing! He was so patient, kind, and knowledgeable. If you ever want to give it a try, I'd highly recommend booking through Beaverkill Angler and without question ask for Wayne. He made the experience so inviting and accessible that we are now going to add fly fishing to our leisure (and stress relief) activities. Thank you Wayne!

Happen to be just driving by and stopped to check out the shop.Shop owner was super nice and informative. One day hopefully will make my way to fish the famous Beaverkill and all the surrounding rivers.

I booked a full day guide through Beaverkill angler for my birthday weekend. I was paired Steve. I had a most wonderful trip. Steve was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot. I could not have asked for a more patient guide. My fly fishing knowledge on technique and that of fishing the Beaverkill have increased immensely .

Visited the area from Virginia and will certainly be back. The Beaverkill Angler contributed to my visit in a major way. They accommodated a half day wade outing on short notice. As a result I landed my first wild brown trout, a 17" male. I'll be back!
