“Highlight of our Catskills trip two years running! The Yarra has such a cozy, welcoming vibe and incredible hospitality. The menu is always fun and delicious, and the Saturday supper club is hands-down some of the best food in the area. Can't recommend it enough.”

“My husband and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Red Rose, a roadside motel and tavern in Roscoe, located on Old Route 17 overlooking the Beaverkill River.

We sat at a corner table overlooking the dining room and lounge area, which was incredibly cozy. It's a log-cabin-style space thoughtfully decorated with historical photos, taxidermy, and charming touches throughout. Even the bathroom was fun, wallpapered with what looked like pages from old fly-fishing books.

And then there was the food…

We started with the seared scallops and a bibb salad to share, followed by chicken piccata and the ribeye for our main courses. Everything was outstanding, and the service was excellent throughout dinner.

We were too full for dessert, but noticed the Milk & Cookies were a big hit at the other tables, with the cookies served in adorable little cookie jars. We’ll definitely save room for them next time!”

““Mountain Minimalism” that is super charming and was the perfect gateway a little over two hours from NYC! Spacious, designed rooms with balconies that overlook the golf course and sunsets at The Inn. Great walking/hiking trails to Lake Florence and stop by the boathouse. The guest lounge in the barn plus two different fire pits are good hang out spots any time of day. If there’s a fly fisherman enthusiast with you, then this is a perfect place for everyone to find their spot in nature. Great in winter even with the restaurant’s limited hours since Roscoe is a short drive away… and then I’m sure this place will shine even brighter in the summertime. Note - they are new having just opened in April 2023, so bring your water bottles, snacks, toiletries and hair dryer if staying in a room at The Inn. “What a gem ! It's like staying at your grandmother's house. Comfortable, quiet, quaint. It's not shinny and new, but it is absolutely wonderful. We walked to the Roscoe Diner and took a short drive to the Roscoe Brewery. We will certainly be back, soon, I hope.”
