After 3 weeks my hair texture has completely changed. I have been natural for over 5 years and feel like I’m starting over. They are aggressive and push their beliefs on you despite how you may want your hair done. I don’t kno if it’s the products used or technique but my hair is severely damaged. It’s breaking and disgustingly flat and straight. No body. Won’t take curls. Nothing. I’m traumatized. Never again. Wish I could give no starsServices: Blowouts

UPDATED REVIEW!!! I had major hair breakage about a month later. I think because too much heat was used (roller set under dryer, then hand blowed dried straight, then she used a flat iron). Couldn't do anything with my hair because it was limp and no body to it.Service: Hairstyling

I am not sure what these reviews are describing I had a terrible experience here. I had a woman with the longest fake nails wash my hair and she scraped and raked my scalp the entire wash even with me asking her to stop. I had cuts all over my scalp that are still healing. Maribel did my blow out and I was relieved and thought things will go different but she banged my head with the blower, burned me with the flat iron and continuously rested the flat iron on my face as she used it. I don’t know if they were purposely doing this or they are just illegally working and are unlicensed, but it was a terrible experience. A day later my scalp had burns and cuts. To make matters worse they talked negatively about everyone whether they knew spanish or not and some reviews below mentioned the conditioner having relaxer in it and I didn’t believe it until I kept smelling a chemical smell in my hair afterwards that took several washes to get out! I ended up darkening my hair color and doing a huge cut after my service at this place. I will not recommend to anyone.

After searching for a Dominican salon near me, I took my daughter in to get a trim. She has natural hair and her hair came out beautifully. Will definitely go back again. The Owner Maribel took her time to blow out the hair and gave my daughter a trim. Overall, my daughter was very pleased with the experience.

If you have natural hair, do NOT go here. They discriminate and do NOT know how to handle natural hair. I have a huge problem with these salons that come to black neighborhoods but do NOT know how to handle black/natural hair textures. I walk in and say hello, no one greets me. A disgruntled older lady walks up to me and points a temperature gun at my hand without saying anything, then points to a piece of paper and tells me to write my name. Rude. I washed my hair and detangled before I left home. I left the conditioner in my hair so all they had to do was rinse it out, roller set and blow dry. The girl at the sink takes a comb and tries to run it through my hair from the top to bottom and then began complaining in Spanish that my hair is tangled. Again, I have natural, curly/coarse hair. My hair isn't tangled, you just can't run a damn comb through thick hair from top to bottom, you have to do it from the bottom up. They are too rough and aggressive and have no patience unless your hair is straight. The roller set was a disaster. She didn't know how to roller set natural hair and it showed. Half my hair was on the floor when she was done because of how aggressive she was. (Side note, I usually go to a different salon and they're able to roller set my hair beautifully and effortlessly so I know it CAN be done! They were not available so I ended up here.) The WORST part is the woman who blow dried my hair. She kept sighing loudly and making comments in Spanish as if she was doing me a favor. Then, I hear her talking in Spanish about charging someone $50, arguing that she's going to charge extra for her "work" (a wash, roller set and blow dry is $35 btw). I didn't say anything because I wasn't sure who she was talking about. Low and behold, when I went to pay, she had been talking about me. Her excuse is that my hair is natural! Huh?! How do you work in a black neighborhood and charge extra for natural hair?! Makes no sense. I was originally told it would be $35 and quite frankly, I did the hard part by washing and detangling before I arrived. I'm not stupid, her plan was probably to charge the $35 and pocket the extra $15 as tip in addition to whatever tip I give her. Scammer. What a disgusting way to treat a customer. Bunch of thieves, nasty attitudes, lazy, don't know how to work with natural hair, entitled. DO NOT GO HERE! STOP allowing these establishments to come into our neighborhoods with such disrespect and foolishness. Do not support!! Let them get shut down!!!
