“Cool and very large venue with tons of consignors. If you’re looking for unique items this is your place. However, this is not a thrift store so the prices will reflect that. Overall it wasn’t crowded, the atmosphere and decor is very nice. Staff is welcoming.”

“Gems all over the place and such a range of items from dresses, tea cups, postcards and other small trinkets. there's a few other thrift shops in this little sort of plaza but this one is my favorite because of the range and most reasonable prices, definitely more costly at the other locations.”

“Lovely little vintage store in downtown New Paltz, NY! I was lucky enough to come across Rock Candy Vintage on a day trip to this cute little town with my boyfriend, and I was impressed with the limited but highly curated selection! They carry mostly women's clothing from the 60's-80's, and have a lovely range of stonewashed denim jackets that would make Madonna proud to cute and quirky minidresses that would look at home on the Mary Tyler Moore Show (okay, I sound old!) Admittedly, Rock Candy Vintage isn't the Goodwill or Savers, and you'll be paying quite a bit for the garments sold here. However, the quality is very good, especially for the items from the 60's and 70's, considering how old the pieces are. Feel free to splurge - it's super worth it, especially when you think about what other vintage stores that sell clothing from the same eras are like, quality wise. If you're ballin' on a budget, check out the affordable selection of unique enamel pins, iron on patches, and feminist-friendly tote bags, all which come in at less that $20, but are equally as fabulous as their pricier cousins across the racks. I can't wait to come back for a dress when I have more money! I guess I'll have to settle for coveting the enamel pin with the TV Dinner on it (I told you, I'm old!) for now!”

“Excellent selection, including men's clothes (which is often an afterthought at vintage stores!). My husband and I find something every time we go. And Chris the owner is an absolute delight- she is definitely the heart of the operation! Dog friendly too. Absolutely recommend.”

“This is the most wonderful vintage clothing store in Kingston and the surrounding areas. As a lifetime collector and former vintage clothing store owner myself, I was overjoyed to find such a gem. This store is packed with carefully selected and curated pieces ranging from all decades in a variety of sizes. All in excellent condition and they usually have something unique and special about them. The owner is very knowledgeable and helpful! She has helped me pick things I wouldn’t have chosen for myself which is almost impossible for any sales person to do. This store is also BIG so there’s a lot of variety to choose from and she puts out lots of new inventory regularly. The prices are very fair for the curation. It’s not a thrift store. If you are a real collector, do not miss this lovely shop if you’re in the area!”

“I'm now a repeat customer! The selection and curation here is really great. You don't need to buy new clothes when you have a place like this nearby. The person at check out remembered me from a previous visit and was so helpful.”

“My friends and I really enjoyed coming here for the first time. It's way larger than you expect it to be, it seems to just keep going. Prices were typically higher, with a few cheap or at least reasonable priced things here and there. Like most collectors, I'm knowledgeable about the things I collect. While here I spotted a few different things I collect and found that generally the prices leaned on the delusional side, so I didn't get any of them. One of the cheap things I collect are swizzle sticks, I found a pack of three super generic, scratched and dirty common ones for $8, I could have died laughing, even really cool, highly sought after one's don't cost that much. The few items I did pick up were reasonable in price, but had all the other things I found been priced according to their actual worth, I would have happily spent more money. I just couldn't justify over paying for something I could get online and still pay less even with shipping. I will still come back again, I feel like this place is so large that it makes it worth coming just to hopefully score some good finds! And for people willing to pay more for the immediate satisfaction, there is just so much awesome stuff here.”

“Great prices, merchandise, and customer service. I've been there at least a dozen times and only bought something once but always treated like a valued customer. It's always a pleasant experience and I appreciate Sal taking the time to explain the merchandise.”
