I have been coming here since I was a teenager. The saleswomen always properly measure me and then together we begin to look at the large selection of brassieres and swimsuits. It's very difficult for me to find a good bra; however, GS always has a style that properly fits, looks great, and is comfortable to wear. Traditionally, I am in the dressing room, cursing, as I try on suit after suit. As if by magic, one of the saleswomen always appears and always hands me a swimsuit that I would have never selected myself. Invariably, I always try it on to be polite and then I always happily discover that the bathing suit she selected looks fantastic.

I went to buy a bathing suit and 2 women were sitting behind the desk doing something on a computer and never got up to help me. I was the only customer in the store. I helped myself and bought a bathing suit. I think those women need a lesson in customer service

The no return policy is very disappointing. I see that other reviewers felt the same. I purchased a full price suit recently and realized once I was home that I already owned a very similar suit that I purchased from the store last year. I don’t expect a full return but at least to exchange for a different suit. After looking at the receipt everything is final sale. The selection is very minimal and not what it used to be.

I want to give zero stars!! Will never shop in this store again. Bought a bathing suit for a gift and I can’t exchange it or even get a credit!!!! Never have I shopped at a store that you couldn’t get a store credit within 30 days!!!! ??????

If I could give this place a 0 I would. Sales lady was horrible and incredibly rude! Save your money, you can buy the same swimsuits someplace else for cheaper and you will be treated much nicer

Do yourself a favor a find somewhere else to shop. The merchandise is mostly ugly and the customer service you receive is also ugly. They ignore customers upon entering to continue with whatever nonsense they're doing like eating, gossiping and if they decide to briefly help anyone they think they're doing you a favor and have done their good deed for the day. The women that work there wouldn't know good manners or good customers service if it bit them in the face. I don't know how they stay in business.

Horrible customer service! Walked in and three ladies were behind the counter, eating and talking about the fabulous views from their apartment etc. (One was named Barbara). Absolutely no greeting upon entering store, no one bothered to ask "can I help you". I am hard-to-fit size and I had to fend for myself. After trying on a few bathing suits, I went to the register, put down my items on the counter and walked out. Was planning to spend a sizable amount of money if I received the right help. Never returning, not recommending this business, actually going to spread the word at my pool club at how bad the service was. If the proprietor goes out of business it's no wonder why. Regret not taking a picture to show all 3 salespeople at the counter doing nothing.

I had a wonderful experience today at Great Shapes! I wanted in and the friendly staff greeted me and helped me with the Bra fitting I came in for. I tried on tons of Bra's and she didn't stop helping me until I found one I loved and was comfortable. I would definitely recommend going to Great Shapes, especially if your looking for bathing suits!! HUGE selection for all ages.

Excellent experience at Great Shapes. It was my first time at this location. Very good selection and I was helped by two amazing sales associates. One of the ladies helped with choosing bathing suits and the other lady helped while I was in the fitting room. Amazing and safe shopping experience during COVID. Hand sanitizer was available and the sales associate also checked my temperature. There was a wonderful sale and I splurged on two suits. The quality of the suits are superb and I know they will last me years as my previous purchases have. Please visit and show some love for this local owned business.

Terrible customer service.I tried to return an item that did not fit right that I purchased a couple hours before and was told they have a no return policy... Yet there is no signage anywhere stating that policy. No acknowledgement of no sign or apology for denying the return.

Terrible customer service. I tried to return an item that did not fit just hours after purchasing it and was told they have a no return policy. Yet... no where in the store is there any signage with a message to customers that they have a no return policy so customers will have the appropriate expectations when they buy something. Not even an acknowledgement that there are no signs or an apology.

I was convinced to purchase a bathing suit that I was concerned might be uncomfortable due to some large fake pearls sewn all the way down the front. I told both the sales women, as well as the owner about my concerns. The sales women suggested that I lie face down on the floor (seriously) to see how it felt! I obviously passed on her ridiculous suggestion. She then assured me that I wouldn't feel the pearls on the the suit when laying down on the beach or a chaise. The owner, who was clearly thrilled that I was considering the $317 suit kept telling me that it was their "most popular" one and that he couldn't keep it in stock. He also told me that I could bring it back with the tags still on if there was a problem. The implication was that he would refund the item. I ended up spending over $1,100 at the store between my daughter and myself. Once at home I tried on the suit and sadly found out that lying face down on my soft bed (imagine a hard chaise or beach) was indeed extremely uncomfortable. When I tried to return the unworn suit (tags still on) two days later, I was shocked at how rude all of the sales associates were, and especially the owner. He (the owner) who was all smiles and first names when I was in making my purchase wasn't even respectful enough to come to the register. So I walked back to his office to explain the issue in person and remind him of what he said when I was considering the item. His response was that I was the only customer to ever complain about the suit. He was rude and obnoxious and said that he would give me a store credit, but not a refund. When I explained that I had purchased all of the suits that I intended to buy there for the year and thus didn't want a store credit, he picked up the phone as his way of dismissing me. I could go on as my conversation certainly did, but the point is clear. This store is and always has been about the hard sell, but is completely lacking when it comes to keeping their word and customer satisfaction. I have since contacted Amex and will be covered by purchase protection, but I caution others before shelling out any $ in this store.
