Recently picked up a CPO Impreza and Ian Lawson was really the best and super knowledgeable. Every step of the sales process was handled with patience and professionalism. East Hills is most fortunate to have such a great employee. I will definitely keep his name in mind going forward.

I was buying a Subaru car for the first time, Jesse assisted and explained in detail. During the test drive Jesse explained all the questions I had and was very patient. I was trying to figure out what kind of model to buy and Jesse explained in simple layman's language the differences which I understood. I would recommend Eastill Subaru to anybody buying a new car and Jesse to anyone who has lot of questions like me. Also, the finance person was very informative. Deepa

Service is absolutely terrible. Took advantage of my mother who is a senior citizen. Sold her things that she didn't need. Yet failed to check the engine coolant, window washer fluid or other items- all of which were low or in need of maintenance. When I called them, they were defensive and evasive. I asked for a manager to call me,but never got a call. How do they sleep at night?

Do not buy a car from this dealership! If your car needs any real service (even work covered under the warranty) you may have to wait weeks to have the work done and they are usually out of loaners. You will be stranded with no car.

Used to be great in oil change and other services, now the oil change price goes up dramatically. In addition, they charge you to top off the fluids, small charge, but other places do it for free. Lastly, they charge a 3% credit card fee as a convenience fee. A car dealership only wants cash payment or debit card payment or check, otherwise, it's at your cost doesn't sound right to me

Labor rate is $170 per hr yet they charge $100 more for 2 1/2 hrs of work.

Do you want horrible customer service ? Get charged for the highest interest rates and incompetent staff? As well as a management team that doesn't take any accountability? Then come here! They'll mishandle up your paperwork and blame it on you! Specially the whole management team, that's Stacy, Stephanie, Matt and the general manager David. Take a chance here if you want a horrible day.

Got a call from Phil today. Very friendly. They are updating their policy on credit cards to comply with the law. Thanks Phil! The service took about an hour and a half for an oil change. Not bad but under an hour would be more competitive.

I cannot give a total rating because there are 2 parts to my review, one for sales and the other for service .First as to sales . If you are planning to buy a Subaru, this is an excellent place to buy one .ASk for Stacey, as in all my years of buying and leasing an automobile she is without doubt the finast sales person that I have ever dealt with. She is honest and extremely knowledgable about any make and model of Subarus , and after you buy one she is always available to help you with any questions you may subsequently have. So I would give East Hills Subaru 5 stars for sales .Now as to service . If you are doing a regular service on your car, then no complaints . That said, if you need any repairs for anything out of warranty, DO NOT BRING IT THEM. They overcharge dramatically . I just brought my car there for something that was not covered by a warranty , as it was my fault . I paid $500 for the repair . I then brought it to a mechanic who I have been using for years and showed him the bill. He told me that I was charged almost double for the labor that was required. They have a sign that they charge by time for labor but they do not display their hourly rate . When I asked to explain the labor rate all I got was some gobbly-gook double talk .I would give service 2 stars and am being generous with that So in summary , buy a car at East Hills Subaru but ask for Stacey , but if you need any repairs not covered by warranty GO ELSEWHERE

We have been servicing our first Subaru here without any issues. We just bought our second Subaru from them. They made the buying process easy and presented options based on our budget and situation. We got exactly what we wanted and it was a straight forward process.

These people promised to match the price I got somewhere else for a car in a color we wanted more. They asked for $500 deposit to hold the car. I told them I needed them to email the cost of the car in writing, and they finally admitted that they could not match the price. I could have lost my deal listening to these people.

My sales consultant, Jessica Heffernan, was extremely professional, patient, and compassionate and empathic to my needs to replace my current vehicle, 1992 Nissan Sentra E, with one that would meet my financial status at this time. I am a fan of East Hills Subaru, and Subaru's in general, especially the Impreza, and Japanese cars. There is a 2017 white hatchback Impreza I was interested in financing. Ms. Heffernan provided me with several financial options to meet a reasonable monthly payment. When the numbers did not match my budget she offered me another option to lease a 2023 hatchback Impreza. I left the dealership to contemplate the options presented to me.A couple of days passed before I decided to test drive the 2017 Impreza and declined the lease option. After the road test with the Impreza I realized I was driving a luxury car compared to my Sentra. Jessica presented me several financial options for the Impreza and shared with me the CARFAX report. Again, I needed time to think about either financing the car or to buy it outright. At the end of the day neither were an option for me at this time.Unfortunately, I informed Ms. Heffernan of my decision to decline the 2017 Impreza however, again, she did share with me the lease and option to buy a 2023 Impreza. My credit is good but, today, for me, is not a good time to finance or lease a car. My 1992 Nissan Sentra E that has 259,000 miles and is a four-speed will have to meet my needs at this time.Again, thank you Jessica Heffernan for your support.

Bought two subarus from this dealership and it seems like quality of service only lasts until you stop paying them. Was overcharged for a basic air and cabin filter for $140.... $90 for labor to put in an air filter....Went back again for service and said I needed an oil change, price went up from $49.99 to $69.99... While arguing with one of the staff about the expense, an older guy with glasses said "we are the cheapest in Long Island" over and over again. He repeated himself 3x and said I can keep going. The catch is the price they quote matches the price of competitors only if you bought the Subaru from them, otherwise it is $99.95. I said you guys are not the cheapest as there are other places that can do an oil change for less. In case the store manager wants to claim they are the cheapest, do me a favor and call the Pep Boys in Long Island because I have. It is $90 with a $20 online coupon which is the same. I also called Meineke and they said FULL SYNTHETIC was $69.99, and has a $10 online coupon. I called Walmart in Farmingdale. You know what's the price? $34.88. I confirmed with the worker does it matter year, mileage etc, she said over 100k miles will be more. My car does not have that. The real kicker was the staff in the front saying I also need tire rotation. I said is it included? They said no it is not, why would it? I said because I am paying $80 for an oil change, the car is being lifted, how hard is it to rotate it? He said "I never heard of any place doing that as I worked in many dealerships." He said where they do that at? As stated above any place that does an oil change whether it's Pep Boys, Meineke, Jiffy Lube, Walmart etc offers free tire rotation. If you have a He said I never heard of it and it would be $34.99. You know as a Costco member they rotate tires for free so I left. Just got an email today from NYS saying I need an inspection. Now I am thinking to myself why didn't the service people tell me when I was there instead of wasting more of my time. An hour after the DMV email, East Hills wants to send me an email to come in to do an inspection? Now why couldn't someone tell me this when I was doing my oil change? "Hey, looks like you are due for an inspection, would you like it done?" Nothing. Not only was this a waste of money but a waste of time. You would think a customer who bought two cars from them can do something as rudimentary as a tire rotation for free after paying for an oil change. Just found out there was a promotion starting 3/1-4/15/23 where it is $59.95 for synthetic oil and filter change..now why couldn't the staff tell me, hey just wait till next month you can save money instead of squeezing extra money from me? It is really ridiculous. Also, if you pay with a card extra 4%. Follow up, just came back from Pep Boys and failed inspection. They said brake pads were almost metal to metal. Not only did this dealership not inform me my brake pads were deteriorating, they said everything was fine. If everything was fine, why did I fail inspection? For the 30 month inspection, they are supposed to inspect the following:Inspect suspension, inspect steering system, inspect parking brake, inspect axle boots and joints, inspect brake line, perform tire rotation and inspection, replace engine and oil, replace a/c filter, and last but not least, INSPECT DISC BRAKE PAD AND DISC. After the 42 month service, I called the service center if anything was needed. For the 48 month inspection, it is the same as the 36 month. They were supposed to perform the following:Inspect suspension, inspect steering system, inspect parking brake, inspect axle boots and joints, inspect brake line, perform tire rotation and inspection, replace engine and oil, replace a/c filter, and last but not least, INSPECT DISC BRAKE PAD AND DISC. They were supposed to inspect it when I went 8/4/22, I went back 2/21/23. For 6 months no one informed me of having failed brake pads. From what I got from this whole ordeal is the dealership did not do anything from 30

Back in May , My daughter need to get her A/C fixed....she was also told that several other things needed to be done...she did whatever they recommended and was overcharged for the work. On the way home from the dealer....she still had the same issue with the A/C....she was told it wasn't the same issue and gave her an estimate of another $1500.00 to deal with the problem....at that point I brought the car to my own mechanic and resolved the issue for $293.85. I tried to get them to deal with the overcharges on visit #1 in writing and by phone ,to no avail. Predatory sales practices and taking advantage of people seems to be their specialty. Michael N. our service advisor never responded to discuss the issue...I own a business myself and I really tried getting this resolved, but at this point I had no choice but to post this review.
