My experience at the Holiday Inn Express Roslyn was very good, we were really surprised. It is a very modern hotel, with a staff that welcomed us and treated us wonderfully. We are very happy, we hope to be able to return soon. The breakfast they offer is very delicious, it has many

I only stay at Holiday Inn Express when I travel for work. This hotel location was perfect. Service was great and staff were ok.My issue was when I stayed there, the rooms are very small and cramped. While I was was there, they decided to resurface the parking lot which caused issues every night bc they would close spaces in the parking lot to resurface and not reopen unless someone asked to reopen at night. Which was me 3 of the 4 nights I was there. Next time, plan the parking lot surfacing better especially with a full hotel.Rooms: Small rooms compared to most Holiday Inn Express I stay in.

DO NOT STAY HERE -What a terrible place to stay at. The rooms are okay at best. But it’s really nothing compared to how they conduct business here. For one, this place is sleazy. There are many hookers and married men whom they let flaunt all over the lobby. Besides this fact, front desk staff is ok. But the manager here named Clara Alvarez is the most RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL person I have ever met in my entire life! Not once have I seen anyone conduct themselves like this before. I merely came here with my husband and child and wanted to be check in a couple hours early (as a holiday inn platinum member) as we were traveling from across the country. My child was not feeling well and my husband and was tired from driving for 22 hours straight. We weren’t offered any snacks or water by the male manager. I even called in advanced and spoke to Fabian who told me they had baby beds which of course they did NOT! The front desk couldn’t help me and I needed to speak with management. Boy this lady was a bat out of hell. The level of disrespect and indecency was incredulous. She not only told us not to stay or come back here but she said if we didn’t leave she would charge our card and told us “good luck getting your money back”. She acts like she owns this place and has never conducted business before. Who hired such a woman??? Please someone fire this lady. Not a single family member or friend of mine will ever be going to another Holiday Inn until this lady is out of a job. DO NOT STAY HERE!

I originally booked a room at Marriott, but when I got there no rooms were available after all, but they helped me book a room at Holiday inn instead, and unfortunately Marriott made the booking from Aug 6-8th instead of 5-7th. We called Holiday inn immediately to fix it, and they said "No problem, we will change the reservation right away. The price will be a few dollars higher ($399) for 2 nights, and of course no cancellation fees". Ok, that's fine, I thought. But no, they charged me $600 for 2 nights, and the day after I got charged additional $166, and I asked the reception what these transactions are, and they just said "Please give it a couple days, it should be corrected soon".. Still, nothing. I've literally been scammed by this hotel, and will never again stay at a Holiday Inn. I mean $399 for 2 nights at a basic 3-star hotel that far away from the city is almost already a scam. And yet I got charged around $750. If the hotel corrects this I might update my review, we'll see.

I was planning on visiting the JFK area and needed a place to stay. I put a filter on Travelocity for "Hotels with 4 stars within 5 miles". No results found. I expanded it to 10 miles. No results found. I then changed it to 3 stars within 15 miles. This place popped up. It's about 12 miles from JFK, so only about an hour and a half drive. It's tucked on a busy thoroughfare. The website states that there is limited parking. They're not kidding. The parking is on the ground floor and there are exactly 42 inches between spaces. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My room, unfortunately, was on the first floor and the window faced the busy road, so as The Grinch said, "the noise-noise-noise!". The ice machine was right outside my door. Some bad karma coming to haunt me from a previous life. I swear I'm a good person. Anyway, the bed was super comfortable, the sheets and towels were nice quality. The bathroom was modern and clean, though the water flow was below average. The free breakfast was good. Eggs, 2 kinds of sausage, hot cinnamon buns, make your own pancakes, oatmeal, fruit, juices, breads, muffins, coffee. If I was the typical American with feet so fat they explode over the flip-flops, I would have consumed 6,000 calories and shoved another 12,000 calories worth of food into a bag to take with me. Based on what was in the area, this was probably the best thing I could get for the money. Did I mention the traffic? Or the traffic? How about the traffic? Good grief, how do people live here? Would I stay here again? Probably. Just know what you're getting.

Do your research. You might want to have a little more commute. Kinda my fault for not reading reviews. Not your typical H.I.E. The smallest room & elevator you may ever find. I actually said the "The Lord's Prayer" in the elevator on the way up and on the way down because I was too lazy to take the 1 flight of stairs. Oh.... and I'm not religious. The nothing to brag about breakfast wasn't so bad after breathing in 2nd hand weed all night. Actually, heard a neighbor snoring and morning scruppledoohs while I drank the not so bad coffee. It was an easy check in & out.

These people were all LOVELY. I grew up on the North Shore of LI and always love visiting. We arrived later than planned- Last minute I asked for a handicap room bc my husband was seeming more infirm than usual. Thank heavens for these guys. the only thing that was a hassle was the key lock- to the area on the ground floor. Everyone seemed to have trouble getting into the building. Sam was great, and actually all the folks were super helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was good too-Nothing over the top fancy, but clean and fresh and great customer service . That is so important.
