Dr. Abbate is truly amazing at what she does. She explains everything in a clear way that makes it easy to understand how the body works. I noticed immediate improvements after my first session. I feel like a brand new woman every time I leave her office! I wish I hadn't waited so long postpartum before scheduling PT sessions with Dr. Abbate. I will not hesitate to contact her if I have issues in the future and I recommend her to EVERYONE!

Dr Abbate is a truly an amazing and gifted PT. My 14 year-old daughter saw her for treatment of a hip/pelvis injury after a PT closer to home flared her up with his exercise only approach. We have seen Lila at both her NYC and Roslyn offices. She has been worth every minute of our extra travel time. Her manual and evaluation skills and longer "hands on" treatment sessions are unparalleled. Her practice description as specializing in complicated cases holds true. My daughter is now back on the soccer field, running full speed and pain free.

Lila Abbate is the best! Following surgery I had a residual problem that no one else could help me with. I saw three doctors and at least three physical therapists and no one could do anything. Then the fourth doctor, two years after the surgery, recommended Lila. Lila was the first one to diagnose the problem correctly (which took her about 30 seconds) and to prescribe a simple exercise. I had about 95% improvement in 10 days. We're still working on that last 5% which is something else I like about her: I know she's there fighting for me and won't give up. Lila is a delight to work with.

Dr. Abbate is a G-d send. She knows the musculoskeletal system in and out. I have had leg pain that was excruciating, radiating and not allowing me to walk or sit for any length of time for 3 years. I have seen 12 to 15 doctors, 4 physical therapists, done Epidural steroid injections with no relief. On the first visit Dr Abbate identified the misalignment of my pelvis, and corrected it and allowed it to stay in place after two visits!!! Her sessions do not hurt, she knows which muscle, rib to work on. Her techniques are not like others because she was trained by the old school knowledgeable orthopedic and pelvis specialists. She is an expert in women’s health both pelvic and orthopedic. She doesn’t give up on the complicated cases, but rather accepts that challenge and solves the puzzle. She gave me my life back! I went from walking 2000 steps a day to walking 7,000 steps. She is the person to go to 1000 percent!!!!

Would very highly recommend! I am a mom of 5 and a runner running 70+ miles a week. Came in complaining of pelvic floor pain. Lila quickly diagnosed that it stemmed from a whole bunch of other issues. She was able to solve many of my problem areas using different modalities and I am able to run my fastest miles pain free!

Five years after my treatment, I would like to update my review. I thought I got good treatment at that time because I didn't really know what others were like. My symptoms hadn't improved and even got worse. So I had changed quite a few clinics specializing in women's health before I ended up in a well-known hospital's rehab department. I finally started to get better there. If you just have a minor issue, this is a place you can go where they are doing a good business there. If you are really sick, I suggest you go to a hospital. Don't like me, wait too long to get helpful treatment.

Lila is a brilliant pelvic floor therapist. Last year after a car accident I found myself with an awkward problem with my bladder. Lila was able to understand this issue which did not make sense to others. I have been treating with Lila and I am very happy because I have had huge improvements. Her knowledge in respects to these type of problems is incredible. Thank you, Lila, for all of your help!!!

I feel very lucky to have found Lila Abbate for my Sacroiliac Joint Pain. She is fully hands-on, and really takes time figuring out what's going on with your body. I had tried many other therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, etc...most don't even deal with the SI Joint and pelvis. Lila was a true find!

I had my second PT session with Dr. Lila Abbate, and I feel much improved from how I felt before. I had an unfortunate injury in my back and pelvic area from running in the airport with a heavy crossbody bag. It was complicated by the fact that I also have scoliosis. I had bad pain in my back and backside for months afterwards. I went to a chiropractor for about 2 months, and he managed to take care of my nerve pain, but could not do anything about the persistent pain in my sitting bone (which I later found out was my sacrum). I could not stand or sit for long without feeling major pain. After my first session with Dr. Abbate, I was able to sit much longer than before, and could lie on my side comfortably (which I couldn’t do before). Dr. Abbate is very experienced, and can find muscles where I have pain or tenderness that I didn’t even know of, and that seemed to be contributing to my overall pain and discomfort. The sessions are very engaging and productive, with the doctor really looking to see where your problems are, and addressing those areas. I am grateful to have found a practice that can help with the pain in the pelvic area, and am hopeful that the problem that I’ve been experiencing for the past 5 months will be resolved with the treatments.
