We had a fabulous dinner at Trattoria Diane's celebrating our daughter's 38th birthday. I had messaged Diane's via Open Table that this was a birthday celebration and received a reply from Jimmy saying he would take care of everything. We had a choice of a dining areas when we arrived and we selected a table in the corner on the quieter second floor. We had three appetizers: the figs, zucchini blossoms and frito misto. They were amazing. Our entrees included the short ribs (the best- no knife needed!!), lamb chops (for our 3 1/2 year old grandson - he loved them), pot roast and monkfish. Everything was outstanding. Diane's did a very nice job of bringing her dessert with candle to the table allowing us to sing Happy Birthday to our daughter. It was very special. For dessert we had the pecan pie, apple tart, panna cotta and the affogato (which was out of this world). All the desserts at Diane's are beyond delicious. After moving from Long Island years ago we returned to celebrate our daughter's birthday and we are glad we did. We definitely will be coming back again!

we went onValentine day.The only criticism was the price at $100 per person was much too high.It should have been $25 less per person .They took advantage of there customers ,which I am.Eat there many times Terry Feit

Nice variety of choices on the Valentine's Day menu and portions were as usual not reduced for a price fixed menu. We thoroughly enjoyed each course! Stuffed zucchini blossoms, mussels, pan seared scallops with butternut squash risotto, duck with cherry sauce and vegetables. The desserts are always special - fudge brownie with banana ice cream and the berry tart with vanilla ice cream. Even the bill was pleasant with heart shaped shortbread cookies favor! It was a very nice Valentine's Day for us. And as always service was very attentive!

We so enjoy dining at Diane's. We invited two friends, who gave never been here, telling them, his was the greatest restaurant with the most delicious meals. They came, they ate and they were smiling from ear to ear. They can't wait to come back. Service with the smile .

Nice ambiance, food was not great. Mussels with white wine were good, duck entree was terribly tough and under seasoned. Martini was fine, service also good

Do not live close to Tratorria Diane, so have not been in awhile. In past was always one of my favorite restaurants. Made reservations and was concerned when started to read some fairly negative goggle/yelp reviews. But, some of comments ridiculous, so decided to stay with reservation. Very glad I did, both my husband and I enjoyed an excellent meal. Portion size was very good (to address one negative review), we brought home leftovers. Service was very on top of everything, and as to other complaint about prices, it is North Shore LI-but even then I feel good value for quality food. Glad to see Tratorria Diane still a great place to go, even if alittle ride away. Restaurant pretty busy for January Wednesday evening-so seems many others also enjoy dining here. Every course was terrific.

Asked the waiter how was the lobster prepared He said “cooked” Lobster tail un-etable tough as leather Sauces not Italian maybe Spanish Seafood salad not Italian Bread was good

Dinner was fabulous and the staff are super helpful and on the ball. In my opinion it's one of the best restaurants around. I've been coming here for years and I have never had a bad meal it's spot on however, I miss the vanilla cake they used to have.

First time dining at Trattoria Diane. Ordered salad which came out slowly but was very fresh and tasty. Main was salmon and it was well prepared and tasted excellent. Accompanied by fresh peas and string beans which were fresh and quite tasty. The restaurant is quite lovely and the ambience was great.

Very nice restaurant, the menu is good but could use a refresher. Prices are reasonable, decor is clean but we were surprised it wasn’t decorated for the holidays. Staff is excellent and friendly.

Trattoria Diane's is consistently excellent! Drink pours are very generous and food is always very good! They change the menu based on the season, which makes it nice to go there are various times of the year.

We sat outside on a beautiful evening . The food was excellent. I had the duck , my husband had branzino. Overall great dining experience.
