Entirely lacked hot water and reliable running water. Towels provided in room were dirty and looked to have been previously used (had hair and toothpaste on them). No soap provided. For the price of this place these details should easily be gotten right.Rooms: Dirty

Beautiful old houses in the fall! They have 3 building, I stayed at the hill top building facing the forest (but there is street across). The place is beautiful with garden in the back, sauna room in the middle of woods and many short hikings, right next to a small fall. You can spend a day exploring this place, there is a local market across the street on the weekends. They also have a delicious restaurant in the house serving dinner and brunch. There is a self served mini store for coffee tea and snack.Note: no wifi in the room (hill top), there is wifi in the restaurant and receptionist area.No tivi in the room, drinking water is outside, there is literally nothing, you just gotta go out and enjoy the nature :).

Loved the place! The vibe is too much Williamsburg. The food is amazing. A bit expensive for the area but I think it’s worth it. I had the best bread and butter of my life. And the cookies are out of this

One of the most pleasant and beautiful places I have visited upstate. The perfect balance of peace & fun with numerous activities to choose from, or just do nothing and enjoy the curated music, food and the falls!

My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay here over a family wedding weekend this summer. Casey and the rest of the Main House staff were super friendly and took amazing care of us. The grounds were beautiful with no shortage of activities -- we hiked, swam, and played games to our heart's content. Breakfast each morning was excellent. Evening entertainment was great, with the Tavern boasting an incredible sound system. Finally, the room was nice and we appreciated no TV -- we went on the front porch and read our books listening to the birds instead. We're excited to return on our own and enjoy a weekend away again soon!

Many family members and I attended a wedding this past weekend at the Glen Falls House and stayed for a couple of nights. Although the wedding was wonderful and the hotel had good points for certain, my overall rating reflects the negative issues because I feel the need to comment on specifics which ought to be corrected. On check-in, there is a contract to sign, a few pages of "fine print," house rules or something along those lines. After the stress of traveling, people want their room key and do not wish to stand at the front desk inspecting these pages. I paid for 3 rooms, those of my adult sons and the one for myself and my husband. For a remote inn with cramped quarters and not much in the way of amenities, the stay was overpriced. And very soon after we departed the hotel, housekeeping must have gone into each room and reported which people had taken home the remainder of the hotel-provided toiletries in the brand-new bottles provided for guests, so I received emails stating I'd been charged an additional $170 (before tax) for 2 of the 3 rooms. Yes, a bottle of hand lotion was $58, shampoo was $38, conditioner was $42, and body wash was $32. When I phoned the hotel, I was informed there was some warning in the pages of "fine print"/house rules. Absolutely horrific, and a total scam in our estimation. Despite them providing us with new products, I was told that the hotel reuses them for other guests and we were not permitted to take our leftover toiletries. We were only allowed to use them while staying at the hotel; it didn't matter how much remained after we'd been using the products for a few days or how empty the bottles were already, they were charging us list price for full bottles. Meanwhile, we were in guest rooms that had loose doorknobs which were practically falling off, toilets that wouldn't flush properly, and beds with mattresses so squishy that I rolled toward the center, and the floors were slanted to the point that items on the nightstand slid. While some of the food served was tasty, some was completely unpalatable--undercooked fish and some vegetables that tasted of antiseptic and turned our stomachs. Naturally, I have no reason to return to the Glen Falls House since I only went for a wedding. Just want to alert others to how things are there and wish I'd been warned ahead of time so I would have known what to anticipate. Would have saved a few hundred dollars at least and not come home angered.

Came here for Friday night dinner. Really sweet place with great portions, tasty food and really nice servers. Appreciated how accommodating and friendly they were. Would definitely go back next time I'm visiting the area.

Would highly recommend you book a stay at The Glen Falls house. It’s an excellent retreat upstate with comfortable and stylish accommodations. My only complaint would be that the door to our room in the main house was quite thin and the footsteps from the hallway are quite loud. You will need earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Great atmosphere, especially during the winter months! Extremely cozy. The food was very good and fresh. I order the fish, which was to die for. We also ordered the short rib, which was meh. Way too pricey for the taste. I've had much better for less. The dessert was SOOO GOOD and the service was great! Overall, a great cozy date night spot, if you're looking for something a bit more on the pricey side that still has a low key vibe. Board games and a wood burning stove make for a perfect night to go along with yummy dishes and refreshing drinks!

Absolutely gorgeous place to relax and unplug. Loved the property + the owners make it feel like home. Perfectly appointed, low key, has a bar, and is serene. It transports you back in time. If you're looking to get away from it all, this is an ideal spot to do it.

This is an edit - This review by Google was posted for the wrong resort! Please advise this review is for Winter Clove Inn in Round Top at the address of 557 Winter Clove Road. - Anyway here's the review. I hope Google corrects this! - My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. Beautiful, quiet and a spiritual place where we connected with nature. Nice people and a beautiful cat named Clover :) Quaint cozy romantic room, good food and Beth was very accomodating. Very helpful and brought back many memories of my childhood in Round Top and also taking my children. I would like to see the beauty of it in the winter. Thank you!
