This store has a nice variety of clothing in the men’s section. Offers both non discounted and discounted items. If you want good quality t shirts then this place is for you. You get go inside a fitting room without having to ask an employee. The lady working there was polite and welcoming.

Snippy and rude employees make the atmosphere tense and make me want to get out of there as quick as possible. As I was on my way to try something on, the employee commented that the shirt would not fit me and is too small, even going as far as saying “that’s not for you”. As I proceeded to look around, the employee was hovering around and making unhelpful and unnecessary commentary after I politely declined her assistance repeatedly. Overall a stressful experience and tense atmosphere.

I have shopped here for 7 years but I have to say the customer service is TERRIBLE. The only reason I go is once in awhile for my things and get right out of there because I cannot deal with the ladies in there! There is constantly workers hovering over you and telling you certain things will not fit you but they certainly will. I am truly disgusted with this awful service and we need change for this store. The store has so much potential and still does but the service is absolutely awful and not attracting customers at all because it consists of workers who seem miserable and take it out on the customers! Overall would NOT recommend. New workers and a new environment is needed ASAP!

The employees at Lester’s know how to read their clientele (tween & teen girls). I am never disappointed when I visit for one of my kids or for a birthday gift.

I was not pleased with my experience at the Rye brook location. This happened when I was checking out the cashier was rude and seemed to not want to gift wrap a purchase, she had a bad attitude. I won’t be back any time soon.
I was very shocked because have been shopping there for years and never experienced this kind of treatment. People are usually very nice and helpful there. The place is going down hill.

I just visited the Lester’s in Rye, and it was a truly disappointing experience. I was only there for a few minutes, but the atmosphere was terrible. The staff member on the floor was unhelpful and lacked the professionalism I’ve come to expect.
For 15 years, I’ve been a loyal customer of Lester’s, and I was especially close to the team at the former Upper East Side location in Manhattan. That store was amazing—every employee was personable, helpful, respectful, and knowledgeable. It’s such a shame that it closed.
I came to the Rye location today because I missed the wonderful experience I used to have at Lester’s, but unfortunately, this visit didn’t live up to the standard they once set.

I recently interviewd with Andrea the manager. She was very professional has a big ego. I was more than qualified. I've been in the store many times and walked out. Customer service is horrible. If you do interview she will talk down on you. The only advice is be aware of her ego she is so professional text book.

This place is so terrible. The workers are so mean and pushy and always take it too far. The clothes are also so expensive and bad quality , seriously idk who still buys from here they’re stuck in 2016 ?

This review is specifically for Lorraine (sales associates) at the Rye Brook Lester’s. She’s an absolute sweetheart and is such a pleasure to shop with!! I didn’t feel pressured and she was so helpful!! She figured out my daughter’s style right away and made her feel very comfortable with her clothing choices. If I could, I’d ONLY shop with her!! If you’re lucky enough to find her when you’re in there, you’ll leave very happy with your services and your purchases!!

Great selection but poor check out experience. I needed to get a quick gift and was trying to check out quickly, but the cashier would not ring me up until I gave her my phone number, address, and email. I assume this is for a marketing program and I am not interested in receiving their information. When I refused, she stopped ringing me up and called over a manager. She even accused me of giving her false information. It made me feel so uncomfortable.

I was in dire need of new sweatpants and my friend from Rye Brook recommended this place to me since there was a sale and this woman with black hair kept following me asking if I needed help. I told her that i knew my way around a clothing store (Kate knows ). I told her to back off or else. She continued to follow me. I then went to ask her superior if i could get a discount for emotional damages or i would sue. The woman with the straight black hair lit a cigarette blew smoke up my nose IN THE STORE!!! She then proceeded to put it out on my nose. I will be sending you my hospital bill and invoice for my nose job that is now partially melted. Will not be returning.

I live in a prominent area of New Jersey. I was told that they have upscale clothing for kids of all ages, and I must go when in the area. Their clothing selection and brand names do not compare to other areas! I do not get why people even go there to spend money???. This was so disappointing!!If that was not bad enough, they told my oldest daughter that we needed to leave. They said that they were closing and it was 5:50, they closed at 6 pm . My daughter was ready to go to the register and purchase her items.After a long drive, we were not dressed up to their standards. They treated us with disrespect. In summary, they do not have the selection that people think they have, certainly don't have the latest and greatest fashions as I have seen everywhere else. They are overpriced and awful people. My advice is to go anywhere elsewhere.

Nice store but the service is not great. The floor staff hovers over you and the cashier has minimal interpersonal client facing skills. Not a great experience and left somewhat of a bad taste in my mouth. And this after spending several hundred dollars there. Don't think I will be back.

LESTERS IN RYE BROOK IS INFESTED WITH BED BUGS SOMEONE MUST HAVE TAKEN IN WITH THEM. THERE IS AN OPEN CASE REGARDING THE BED BUG SITUATION . The manager DISREGARDED THE INCIDENT in ok INVOLVING BED BUGS telling me to lower my voice or get out “ BUSINESS IS BUSINESS “ while insulting me by the color of my skin HALF ITALIAN BUT SHE MADE ME FEEL SO TERRIBLY IM COMPLETELY EMBARRASSED TO REVEAL THE ETHNIC BACKGROUND IVE ALWAYS BEEN PROUD OF . I WORN YOU BED BUGS HAVE BEEN SPREADING !!!AFTER LEAVING LESTERS DEPARTMENT STORE . ONE OF MY BEST GIRL FRIENDS WORK WITH HER AND EXPLAINED TO ME HOW URGENT AND A HEALTH HAZARD SHE HAS GOTTEN BUGS TAKEN HOME WITH HER AND MANY OTHER EMPLOYEES AND SO DO CUSTOMERS. lesters in rye brook is infested with bed bugs someone must have taken in with them. there is an open case regarding the bed bug situation . the manager disregarded the incident in ok involving bed bugs telling me to lower my voice or get out " business is business " while insulting me by the color of my skin half italian but she made me feel so terribly im completely embarrassed to reveal the ethnic background ive always been proud of . i worn you bed bugs have been spreading !!!after leaving lesters department store . one of my best girl friends work with her and explained to me how urgent and a health hazard she has gotten bugs taken home with her and many other employees and so do customers. she goes into work everyday in fear walking on egg shells of being fired if she was to bring the situation up a second time to andria the manager of the store . i advice do not go there ! it's infested
