Located in village founder Augustus Sacket's historic home, the Sackets Harbor Visitor Center offers exhibits highlighting local history and the story of the village. In addition, we offer tourism information for attractions, businesses, and events in Sackets, as well as those in the 1000 Island and North Country regions. The Sackets Harbor Visitor Center is open seasonally, from May through October, and by appointment only in the off-season. In 2026, we'll also be open for the Chamber of Commerce's HalloweenVille event, on Saturday, Oct 24. I love visiting Sackets harbor, but I must say the MemorialDay Parade this year was very disappointing. I have been there other years and it was a great parade. A band and 2 Fire Trucks doesn’t make for much of a parade. The Memorial Service was very good.
