I wish there was a negative star system, the owner is a real piece of work…Extremely rude and arrogant, I get finding antiques is hard but to mark up something 1000% percent in the Hamptons is absurd. Most of his stuff is just regurgitated Hamptons furniture.

I was walking by the street today, October 10, and saw a very large (and very expensive) photograph hanging on the wall and walked in with my family to take a look at it. It would go perfectly in my home and I just absolutely loved the subject of antique local photograph of places we see and travel through each day. We spent about 10 minutes in the store and another family came in. I saw no employees. No activity, no hello, no how are you, no how can I help you, no sign of human life in the place except my family. I joked out loud after a substantial amount of time "does anyone work here"... Just as I was getting ready to leave, I accidentally bumped into a small metal non-antique piece layed on the floor, already knocked over. Immediately someone shot up from the back of the store and yelled "what did you just buy"? What a low class way of doing business. This piece of junk was already on the floor and also a cheap tin thing you could buy in Home Goods or some other crap-tastic junk store. It isn't the object, it is the way I was completely ignored for 10 minutes, and then when there was a minor bump, someone shot up with the comment "what did you just buy". How trashy and just a completely l**** way to do business. For the record, not only did I not buy anything but never would from this place with the way they do business and treat customers.

On Friday, May 28th, we saw a beautiful chess set and table in the window and went inside to inquire about the set. My wife, 13 year old son and I entered to find an employee working on a display. We were the only patrons in the shop and to our dismay the woman ignored us after having looked up at us. She went back to what she was doing without asking if she could be any help. We returned to the shop about an hour later noticing that another employee was also in the store. We thought perhaps this person might actually be interested in selling something. Once again, we were greeted with a complete lack of interest, so we immediately turned and left. The first encounter I chalked up to poor customer service. However, after the second such encounter, I am convinced that we were treated the way we were because of our racial identity. I am Black, my wife is Latina and of course my son is both. The male employee was white and the female may have been either Asian or white. Its been a long time since my money was not welcomed in a shop. Black Swan Antiques will not get any business from me, and I will make it a point to let all my friends, of all background, know of the unpleasant experience.

A beautiful shop in downtown Sag Harbor carrying high-end and unusual items including furniture. Prices are high but not unexpected in this area. Worth a stop.

Owners are amazing and the assortment of antiques in their store is unique and unlike what I've found in other antique shops. Bought several items from them and will visit again when I am back in the Hamptons.

Way over priced, you can buy all these items at brimfields in Massachusetts for a 1/4 of there value , that's were all this inventory comes from ..

Fascinating items. The shop owner and employees are very friendly and helpful. We asked questions about several items and they were able to give us answers and information about each piece. There is a lot of functional furniture for floors and walls along with a variety of vintage conversation pieces.
