Horrible staff. Rude and disrespectful. Do not recommend. Woman admitted to be rude and didn’t care. Very shocking and poor experience. Low class to the max.

Absurd rip off pricing instead of trying to sell you a product, turns away customers who would come in consistently for one off summer rich tourists hoping they won't figure out the prices of what they are buying

Cavaniola's have great cheese but the woman who "helped" me was utterly condescending and nasty. I asked for manchego cheese and proceeded to cut the secret de compostelle cheese so with other cheeses that I asked for. She just took it upon herself cutting/substituting cheeses. Just because the cheese tasted good and similar doesn't mean they are the same. She should have asked if it's OK to substitute. If I wasn't desperate because I was prepping for a party for my boss I would have walked out. She doesn't belong in that nice little shop. I think she's racist too.

Made a beautiful salad with the marinated Australian feta cheese from Cavaniola's. I love this cheese and the shop. But I had to source the Bresaola elsewhere. Please bring back the Bresaola!!!

Years ago this place was down to earth, owned by a guy who had travelled everywhere and knew his cheeses.I walked in the other day and asked for Feta, and all they had was French Feta. In my experience, the only real feta is Greek feta. When I asked why they didn’t have any, she said this was just as good, with a “take it or leave it” attitude.Well, I got a piece (a little over 1/2 lb) and figured it would be around $10-$12. She rang me up, and it was over $20. So I asked how that was possible, and it was $38 a pound.I buy a lot of feta from Greek grocers in Queens, and it’s $9-$12 a pound. And it’s authentic, and really great. The French feta was good, but $38 a pound is obscene and laughable for feta, especially when it’s not even Greek.I spend a lot of time in Sag Harbor year-round, and I find it really sad that a local shop like this has just turned into another “let’s rip off the summer crowds” kind of place.Really disappointing, caveat emptor when shopping at Cavaniola’s

Just left this terrific store in Amagansett. Generous cheese samples and an extremely friendly staff make this shop a must see. The cheese was delicious and we got some chorizo and local craft beer. Can't wait to come back.
